I fully share your frustration; game developers are now behaving like typical "companies" that want to make money by hook or by crook. consequently they undermine the spirit of the whole thing . this is why more games are coming out with controls styled after console games.

Unreal Tournament 2000 (currently playing) works flawlessly with 30 fps. No choppin, no distortion whatsoever. But that is because the graphic requirement of UT is not very high. For Battlefield 2142, 30 fps is not enough, and can really mar the game. So its safe to say that 40 plus fps is the best.

In terms of highest number of loveable titles released-- EA should top everyone. This developer is really devoted to making high number of high quality games. But EA is not necessarily the best example of talents.

In terms of talents iD software, Rockstar Games, Valve and Blizzard chronologically should share credits.

By the way Lucasarts "had been" a talented developer till mid nineties.

Grim Fandango & The Longest Journey are two true epic games.

Serious Sam 3!!!! Yeah baby, can't wait for that :D seriouszone discussion

Actually, I thought Serious Sam 2 was a bit of a let down compared to the original and TSE. It's difficult to pinpoint why exactly, just had a different feel. Hopefully 3 rocks!

I would second that. I also hope that SS3 would bring in some refreshing changes.

This is a historic blunder for over-confident Microsoft to release a game that's not playable other than Vista. The Halo fan base is highly disappointed.

I was wondering what would be the most favourite map in the BF2041. For me Fall of Berlin makes an intense battlefield, because the battle area is comparatively smaller than other maps.

I'd like to play a battlefield that's only one decade futuristic, which will add to the realism (to me, Battlefield 2142 is really not much futuristic). The battles should take place in harsh watery terrain in Asia, and also in Antarctica. The environmental hostility should be a factor for the player's life.

How come there's no COD 3 for PC? What's this skipping of one installment for PC? To me, playing each war is a different gaming experience-- I would not want to miss it as long as it stays true to the COD spirit (unless its crappy).
