I have both consoles. So lets be serious, this isn't a debate. It's clear that Sony has better and more robust line up of exclusive games right now. Persona 5, Horizon: Zero Dawn, Nier: Automata, and many more. Microsoft put a lot of hope in Scalebound and cancelled that. Sunset Overdrive was expected to be a bigger hit and it wasn't. Sea of Thieves was a let down, too. The Halo Collection had a terrible release. I'm looking forward to the newest Crackdown game, but that's about it. It's gotten to the point where I will exclusively buy multiplatform games on XBox One because my PS4 gets far more playtime because of all the great games exclusive to it.
YES! The classic Megaman games are okay but it's the Megaman X series that turned me into a fan X3 was my favorite game for a really long time. Day one purchases on PS4 for me! I wish some of the other X games were included, like X Command Mission but whatever.
Now if only they would release the ZX collection, too.. Or the Legacy games as a collection. That would be great! Can't say I have the time to do a playthrough of the Battle Network series again.
@Lhomity: You make a good point. Most gamers are okay with the glorification of virtual violence but the objectification of virtual women is bad. One could argue virtual violence teaches people it's okay just as much as virtual objectification of women is okay. I am just glad Asian game developers typically don't cave into Western societal pressures like the SJW movement.
@og_gamerzzz: If no one cared about the Monster Hunter games on Nintendo consoles, then Monster Hunter World would have sold like trash in the West like it historically did before being introduced on a Nintendo Console to the western audience. PUBG is still a bug ridden mess with RNG cosmetic loot boxes with a $40 price tag. Yeah, it sold like hot cakes on PC but that's it. And again SEA OF THIEVES IS IN BETA! It's not even released for the public to buy. What are you talking about? It doesn't come out until the 20th of March so why are we even discussing game that for the most part has had a lukewarm reception in its beta? The Nintendo Switch received far more than just two new games in its release year to include, Mario Odyssey, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Arms, Splatoon 2, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Rime, NBA 2K18, Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle, Sonic Forces, and many more games released new in 2017.
I personally could care less what console has the best games because I have a major game console sitting in my living room made by Nintendo, Microsoft, and Sony. But you're talking BS. Nintendo didn't pay anyone to get them to say Breath of the Wild was game of the year for them. The game earned it. I played it. It was great. I had a better time with Horizon Zero Dawn. That was my game of the year. But I am not going to let my personal feelings override fact. Something you clearly are willing to do just to bash Nintendo. My only guess is that doing so gets your rocks off for some strange reason. Seriously, kid. Just be happy the video game industry is thriving instead of going about the internet spreading uncalled for hate on consoles you have no interest in. If you don't like Nintendo why are you here?

I couldn't care less about what console is better or sales more. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe was ANNOUNCED AS A PORT! Pokken Tournament DX WAS ANNOUNCED AS A PORT! Hyrule Warriors for Switch was ANNOUNCED AS A PORT! Every port that hit the Switch was ANNOUNCED AS A PORT! So historical evidence shows you're most likely wrong. Nintendo has historically announced up front if a game is a port with every game as recents as Bayonetta 2 for Switch. This new Smash Bros came with a teaser. That's it. They did not say it was a port. So chances are greater that it is a new entry in the series.
You still have zero evidence that the new Smash Bros is a port of the Wii U version rather than a new entry in the series.
@dragonsama:Smash Wii U/3DS was release 4 years ago and DLC development ended 2 years ago. How is this game "too soon"? Super Smash Bros. was released in 1999. Super Smash Bros. Melee was release in 2001. Super Smash Bros. Brawl was release in 2008. Super Smash Bros. Wii U/3DS was released in 2014. Historically new entries have came in as little as 2 years (SSB Vanilla to SSBMelee) and as long as 6 (SSBBrawl to SSB Wii U) So it's highly likely they could make a new Smash Bros in 4 years even if the first two years the team was split between making minor character DLC for the last game while most of the team worked on the new game.
It could be a port. Who knows? Only Nintendo does. Just saying it's not "too soon" for a new game to be released. If there was a year difference then sure. But far as anyone can tell, they are not making two games at once like they did with the last entry.

PUBG was the fastest selling game on PC but it is a buggy mess on XBox and most critics and players on console agree that Fortnite is a better game.
But sure, show me how many Game of the Year awards PUBG won over Breath of the Wild. Until then, chill out with your fan boyism. You people forget Monster Hunter became popular in America on the Nintendo 3DS, the Wii and the Wii U with Monster Hunter Tri, Monster Hunter 4 and Monster Hunter X. I love how people are using Monster Hunter to say the Nintendo Switch is crap with Nintendo consoles helped popularized Monster Hunter in the west. Freaking ridiculous. Believe me, no one played Freedom on the PSP other than Japanese players. Or Freedom 2, or Freedom Unite. Or Portable 3rd. In the West the PSP Monster Hunter games sold like trash and Monster Hunter only sold well in the west on Nintendo consoles.

If you are going to throw salt, at least do it with facts instead of lies and your own personal feelings. the Switch just came out a year ago. Every new console comes out with a slew of ports until 3rd party developers get comfortable with the system. Sony and Microsoft did the same thing in PS4's/Xbox One's first year and a half. But lie again and say Battlefield is "cutting edge" bro. Do you even know what that phrase means? How was Battlefield or Monster Hunter cutting edge? In sound design? Story? Graphics? Horizon: Zero Dawn looks better than both these games and while Monster Hunter World is a great game it is far from at the forefront of anything. And if you're referring to Star Wars Battlefront II, it sure as hell was at the cutting edge of pissing off the gaming community, I'll give you that.
The Switch is even more successful for Nintendo than the Wii because it allows you to play something like Skyrim anywhere you want; on a plane, on the toilet, on a long road trip. PS4 and Xbox One are great and powerful consoles but that is not reason to talk crap on the Switch, especially since the Switch is outpacing both consoles in sales because it does what those other two can't. And you evidence that the new Smash Bros is a port is just as weak as saying it's a new game. Nintendo didn't say it was a port and they didn't say it was a new game. They just said we will get it this year. You conjuture proves nothing. People can rightfully assume it's a new game because all Nintendo released was a teaser--hardly a trailer. Game companies release teasers all the time. So should we assume every teaser is an indication of a port? No, that's stupid. Especially since most trailers for ports clearly show it's a port by using old game play. It's more likely a new game because Link is shown in his Breath of the Wild model. It could very well be a port with a BotW skinned Link, but only Nintendo knows.
"It shows them living on the streets, committing small crimes to survive, and slowly coming to terms with their abilities." Um, no. It shows the GIRL committing theft while the boy is just walking around town mostly.
And it's sentiments like Gamespot inaccuracy that is going to be so prevalent when this show airs. This show is a race war waiting to happen it seems. Hopefully it is written well and we can avoid all that.
