No church-goer, police, or parent is going to tell me what I can or can't play. I'll wield my guns and magic with pride, laughing as I mow down my virtual foes!

That's the thing you see. None of it is real. So why should they care? And, even if they do make some game, who's going to play as a holy man, with ... wait for it ... NO abilities!?

Diablo 2 sounds great. The original Diablo 2 - not the LoD version. That way we can all start from scratch, or whatever. Also F.E.A.R.? Both are PC games, I don't care which week. I'm actually having a week off work for E3 so I can catch everything online, so maybe nothing for the following week either?

I have power supply issues with the latest of games, ever since I installed my gtx285 gpu, so I'll have to sit the next few games nights out.

Also, what about a PS2 night? I'm sure there are a lot of popular games on there, and you'd be more likely to rake in a large group of gamers there than the PS3. I know it isn't the latest and greatest system, but I still don't have a PS3 (even though I have some games for it). It doesn't have to be any time soon, but I reckon it'd be nice.

I'm up for FEAR. Been playing a lot of that lately. I had other suggestions ... but I'm not sure how they'd go down at Games Night with exploits and cheats well-known.

Yeah, I agree with Burnout Paradise. Either that, or a repeat of L4D, or both lol.

But also, I did some research on my Graphics Card recently. It's only a GeForce 7600GT, meaning it doesn't handle well on newer titles. So ... for PC, I'd like to see some classics put up as well, such as a Diablo II LoD game, as a toast, perhaps, for the upcoming Diablo III. Lots of people still have that on their computer with the latest patch - there are some options for duels and teams there.

But do the games always have to be counter-operative? Why not co-op? It's good to keep an open mind.

That was my first game night too, and a right blast it was!

You reckon you looked bad as an infected? Not nearly as bad as me! Every time I spawned as a hunter I kept going into my menu to try to figure what I'd assigned for crouch. Playing single player offline, I never needed it, but the hunter was useless without it. It's a game that works remarkably well online, and I'm glad to have been a part of it.

talool1 kept laughing? Awh!

I haven't read around much from other folks here on Gamespot, but there are three users that impress me consistently, and that is Azghouls and ChristianKiss and robinnwa . They've both written heaps. ChristianKiss I'd like to see get the top 500, but Az has that one, so I'm recommending him for the top 100 emblem.

I feel awkward recommending myself , but I do. I hope the quality is good. I try to write a decent length too. All recommendations are for WRITTEN only too. Thanks.

That was me, sorry if you thought I meant that in a mean way, I was just trying to help you out.

Don't worry about it. Everyone was copping it from every side, and I'm amazed our team scored better. Unless it was my eyes playing tricks. I would have been better with more experience and a better config for the keyboard. I knew I had to keep moving, and was trying to, but then there's walking in front of everyone else's guns, my own gun firing when I wanted to press something else (you may have noticed my friendly fire lol), and the messages and voicechats were distracting.

I'm just a little annoying with myself, but far from dissuaded against trying again! When I was dead I think I watched the action from Jody's view. Man that was insane! And she did make good use of that smoker ... mostly on me I'm sure!

Diving into a versus game right after only having played the game once was probably not my smartest choice ever. I was master888. I thought I did ok - people were saying 'keep up' all the time, but I wasn't the only one getting the smackdown. I don't think I was lagging. Reassigning hotkeys wasn't good either, I couldn't find crouch for the first 80% of the game, making hunter attacks rather minimal. But I think I was useful. Sometimes. Lol.

So I got owned! But I still had fun. Maybe the next game could be something from a few years ago. A classic, maybe ...?

Works out to about 11am start Wed morning in AEST. I should be able to squeeze it in before work, so I'll be there. Only got the game today though, so I'll be a bit of a newbie. Not a newbie to the genre though!

I'll be on the PC.
