I honestly can't fathom how fighting game developers don't see the GamePad as an opportunity. I mean, am I the only one who sees the touchscreen as an alternative to an arcade stick's face buttons? Maybe make an arcade stick attachment to the thumbsticks as well. Sure the GamePad might not be a good arcade stick, but it's an alternative nonetheless.

I'm surprised Capcom didn't try this idea with the 3DS version of Super Street Fighter IV (especially considering the iPhone version) and based on the comments of the Tecmo boss, I don't think he or any of his development team thought this either.
