Boy, I wonder how this analyst came to such a daring conclusion. Maybe he saw that they have already coexisted year after year.

@xeoneex66 I remember when swtor said the same thing. Do gamers actually buy into lines like that anymore? Now when I hear a developer promote something as new like this, I don't even think "well I hope what they say is true"... I just think "wouldn't that be nice".

@Atragon Indeed this isn't the first to do it, and one would have thought the folks at Sony would know that most MMO players have been around long enough that they've seen this feature before (I immediately thought of SWG personally). They'd do well to not tout this feature as "never before seen".

@Guts5 Indeed, in that context, that design is factually an innovation. Good job.

In the context of this article, innovation is an opinion. How do you know? Because we have 50 comments here of people arguing whether the games are innovative.

@Guts5 @RS13 Your understanding of the word "innovation" is warped and you will leave other people confused if you try to use it like that in society. Also, "innovation is technological thing"? No, it is used very broadly, because it has a broad, subjective definition. You're trying to use the word in an innovative way, but it's clumsy and incorrect. See? I just used it in a non-technological context.

"Innovative" does not mean "it has never been done before". Innovative is a subjective term.

@Guts5 @Jedo Innovation is an opinion. I can give examples of why Ryse isn't innovative, and I can give examples of why it is.

@wavelength121 It would make zero sense for expectations to affect a review score.
