If your not a hardcore PC gamer and just use your PC to play the odd game then an 8600gt should be ok, yes a 8600gts or even a 8800 series would be good considering your PSU has a 6-pin adapter. Regarding your PSU I would get arounf a 450/500W, NOT GENERIC!!!

I have an AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ (2.2Ghz) which i have OC to 2.4Ghz. I am using stock cooling and I idle at about 39/40 degs however under 60/70% load i get temps of 44/45 degs. Why is my idle and load temperature so close together?

You can't go wrong with any timesplitters game or any grand turismo game as they take a while to complete and therefore get value for money
