i always felt that COD 4 had a story. And Halo 3. And mgs 4 They use cutscenes, but thats fine. I still like games that are just plain rediculous and have no story like L4D. games tell narratives pretty well already in my opinion. what they dont do well are comedies and romances. You can tell a story, but it has to be fun, which usually means shooting something.

@Vividnightmare are you okay? you seem to be in a bad mood. But seriously, I really agree. Some games are really that bad and uncreative. I like FF7 and some epic RPG's, and I like shooters. But youre right, many good games and ideas have gone missing, especially on the wii. They sold their soul for extra profits.

Dycras, the 360 has much more different stuff than the PS3. The PS3 is all hardcore games, mostly shooters. The ones I mentioned are shooters because that is what they mentioned above as being a problem. There are other things, just not lots of good un-shooter games that aren't platformers. The wii has some different games, but they dont follow through to make them good. (mostly) I am looking forward to Arkham Asylum on the xbox, an exclusive no one else is getting but the xbox. I'm not a fanboy, sorry if it came out like that. Yes, both the PS3 and the Xbox have mostly games with guns. But almost everything else isn't worth playing. Casual games just aren't that fun. If I'm doing something casual, its just not on my system. I'm not going to do wii tennis. I'll just play tennis. Games are for doing stuff you cant do in real life, like shooting aliens. I guess we have different tastes, or opinions.

The wii really isn't that good. I'm sorry, thats all i have on that. They are the ones that make boring, abysmal games. Seriously, Wii sports? Its just so simple, I dont get why people play it. Everything not linked to Mario or Metroid prime shouldn't even exist on the wii. But, with the expense and availability of games, sure that can be improved. I do have a problem when people complain of games not pushing the envelope. I find that games that have worked (halo, COD) should keep producing. I find many shooters do push the envelope. A modern shooter(COD 4) sure did. And Halo sure did, and still does. They gave us Forge and amazing video editing never seen before. L4D is another one. Fallout 3 is another. I think industries should just cut down on the shovelware crap. no more wall-E please, or Harry Potter.
