Almost right away, you could tell there's no doubt Orisa and Rein are 1A and 1B. However, I've still seen lots of good Sigmas, JQ's, and even DVas. For now, I'm maining DVa and JQ, w/ Winston still rotated here and there (I DON'T think he's that good, not until his barrier cooldown is reduced by 1-2 seconds).
I used to pay for Apex and Rocket League BP's, just to support the devs. I quickly realized, ehh... usually just not worth it (altho they did have some sweet skins/parts). But yeah, now, not sure what game I'll ever want to pay for a BP for.
OW2's BP is especially poor. Doesn't even have 2 routes, but just barebones free unlocks mixed in.
@blackparrottt: God, the "but smash bros" false equivalence rebuttal. Which isn't even a good rebuttal, since it's irrelevant to it being good design or not. But anyway, up until Ultimate, SSB gave you the majority of the roster, and like what, 40 in SSB4? Plus it takes 2 hrs to unlock most/all of the roster in SSBU. Hell, any SSB. AND, ppl still complained about it in SSBU, so...even if "there is no difference", that just further shows that's it bad now, b/c it was also bad then.
As for those actual differences though? OW2 gives you 1/3 of the full roster and it takes 150 matches (or more?) to unlock all non-BP characters. That's potentially 25-30 hours of play. Imagine just playing casually, that could be over a month until you get Echo. It. Is. Not. The. Same. As. Smash. Bros.
@oldtaku: Again, bad localization, like I said if you can comprehend... Subtitles are the function, so when I said "not the subtitles" being bad, I meant they weren't blurry or in some unrecognizable characters, like what would really mean by "bad subtitles".
I loved OW1. But this seems like a product I'll gladly play only casually and likely spend $0 on. Seems rushed (no PvE? Less fluff?), and even though I'm not a new player, the game is aggressively anti-new player for some reason. Blizzard has completely lost its way. D4 will likely be even a paid game w/ both an in-game store and battle pass. While more common these days for non-f2p games to have microtransactions, that's still "soulless dev/publisher 101".
Tier 55 for the first new hero? Trash, Blizz, holy jeez.
Those 2 "reasons" they give make absolutely 0 sense. We're not stupid, Blizz. It's designed to force player time investment, which then increases player money spent. F off.
