I was never a huge fan of the meticulous movement or mechanics designed around movement in Shovel Knight games, and no, I don't simply mean the pogo stick in the first Shovel Knight. That alone makes me reluctant to check out Mina. Definitely looks cool, though.

Good list. What a great console. Some personal faves of mine (altho not universally acclaimed) were Comix Zone and both X-Men games (yes, even the bad first one). And Earthworm Jim 1+2. Which I think was considered better on SNES? But I still loved it on Genesis.

I'd be content if this (and Hogwarts, since ppl seem to bring up politics) got a 7 instead of 6's. The reviews did not make either game sound just "fair". But who knows, maybe Jordan and whoever reviewed Hogwarts DID want to give those respective games a 7, but docked it down 1 point for reasons outside of the game.

I don't think that's the case, if it were for non-gaming politics. Tbh, I think just a lot of GS reviewers are simply overly picky or want to sway review curves or something.

@daidochus: I don't agree w/ "Gameplay > Story", not for all games at least. But yes, Pentiment's 6, Doom's 9, etc...I do agree w/ your points there.

@Crazy_sahara: But Gamespot didn't say it was bad. They said it was FAIR. That's a 6. Stop thinking anything below an 8 is "bad". This isn't the American school system.

@ghostspartan: Which ones are remasters? Honest question, I'm not familiar w/ the Pokemon ones. But all the others used new engines, yes?

Props for actually listing reMAKES (games w/ new engines) and not remasters. Although I'd argue Ratchet & Clank and XCOM were reboots? ala Doom 2016, Tomb Raider 2013, etc. I actually really don't know...

@lukey52: I think a spinoff show or maybe repurposing the franchise (to focus on video games, comics, tabletop, etc) may work. But I agree, show won't be the same. But a contract is a contract I guess and they got more obligated seasons of RICK & MORTY. So can't kill them off... unless changing the show name is possible.
