Do I need any special software to create an ISO?

Straight from MS themselves, here are the links to get the Windows 7 iso files to burn to a disk. As long as you have the serial key, you are golden.

Just make sure you get the correct version of Windows 7 or lower. Why lower? Because you can "upgrade" to your correct serial key. Say you get Windows 7 basic and you have a home premium key, you can install Windows without a serial key and then "upgrade" it when the OS is install. Since you have a multitude of options, you really shouldn't need to do this, but hey, option is there. The link has directions on how to get the iso on the disk. Assuming you know how to do a clean install of Windows, this should be easy as pie to do. Hope this helps!

Hi, My hard drive is about to crash on my laptop and I'm about to buy a new hard drive and install it myself but how do I get Windows 7 installed If I never got an install disk from my laptop company? There is a Windows serial number on the back of my laptop. Can I just download it from Microsoft?
