So I finally got my console back from repairs, but turns out it's a "replacement console". The first game I try to play is GTA IV. But when I put the disc in I got a Unreadable disk message, so I try another game to see what's going on. My other game worked fine. So then I tried GTA again and this time it loaded but took awhile. It was working fine for about 10 minutes when I got the unreadable disk message again. So I try a few other games and no problems with them. So my question is this just the new console's problem that it cannot load my GTA or is there a few scratches on my disk that may be causing this problem? I also get a grinding noise when I try to load GTA.

My 1 year warranty is approaching it's end, and I'm worried about the red ring. I know the warranties have been "extended" but I'm not sure if I have to pay for it. I'm a Canadian citizen,a nd when I purchased my 360 it contained a pamphlet that said "protect your investment for another 2 years" or some scam like that. It cost $60, which I resolved to pay at a later date.

Tech support and Microsoft's website seems to know nothing when dealign with Canada, and the reception I get over the phone is so bad I just hung up. Has anyone had experience surrounding the warranty for RRoD Canadian 360s?

The $60 thing is BS it doesnt cover RROD. And you could always use the online tech support, it works for Canadians.

Does anyone know how long it takes for the console to arrive at the service centre? It will be a week tommorow that I sent it out and I have been tracking it on Purolator's site until it got to the ship dock in Toronto but there's been no progress from there.

First time 3-4 days. The second time was about 3 months ago and my 360 is still going :) (knocks on wood)

Assassian's Creed - I heard that it's overrated, I am still deciding to buy it.

Bioshock - I played the demo and was interested in getting it but then school got in that way then GTA 4 came out then I just became uninterested.

Guitar Hero 3 - Loved the demo (I never deleted it yet) but it's just to expensive and I don't think I will ever get the hang of playing it on that guitar rather then the controller like in the demo.

The Simpsons Game - Saw the bad reviews it got.

Since I got the RROD I was planning to exchange my 360 for a new one at Best Buy since I have the product service plan. I heard that you don't get to keep your old hardrive, since I had I bunch of Live Arcade games that I have bought a while ago I was wondering if these games will be lost or are they some how stored within my gamertag?

I got the RROD for the second time in less than a week. The first time I got it I did the towel trick and my 360 worked fine until yesterday. I have the product performance plan (or whatever its called) from Best Buy. Does anyone who has this plan know if Best Buy will automatically replace my system with a new one without having to send it to Microsoft for repairs? In case, it matters it's Best Buy in Canada.
