@BenjaminBanklin: This demo is 1440p/30

Wait for an RTX 3080 Ti and you'll probably get 4K/60 :p

Pixel density geometry is not wise for AMD GPUs e.g. refer to Crysis 2 PC's excessive tesslation debacle.

Yeah also UE has been a killer when it comes to resolution scaling this gen. but I think the resolution craze has left people forgetting about fidelity. The fidelity is worth more in that tech demo at 1440p than a normal UE game at native 4k. Folks needs to temper there exceptions when it comes to ray tracing with these consoles.

It's a balance between fidelity details and performance.

Epic has shown

1. UE5 demo that gimped PS5 into mostly 1440p and 30 hz with artwork from Quixel Megascans and hyped up heavy mesh shader demo.

2. PS5 has a high-end single SSD solution with non-high-end compute processing hardware.

I guessed UE5 demo's artwork from Quixel Megascans since I have seen the art style prior to UE5 demo.

@ronvalencia: Hypocrit? Explain.

You throw in 1.3 million triangles and I have thrown in NVIDIA's 50 million triangles drawn context.

@ronvalencia: What's your all time favorite game?

Your point?

C'mon man you don't have a favorite game? System Wars is about games too you know.

Is this question related to UE5's PS5 demo PR with system war context?

Ronvalencia is by far on the the biggest lemmings that ever walked this forums, you are a Jr lemming compare to Ronvalencia basically if you have a small MS tattoo on your ass he has the Xbox source code tattoo on his.

Never has there been some one so invested in defending the Xbox that actually by his own words don't even own a damn Xbox.

And to add more wound this. Ron kept saying Xbox One X (when it was still called Scorpio) is on par with GPU 1070 and when we found out it wasn't, it made Ron look back on how he kept defending it and also took most lems for the ride as well. I used to take Ron for a hermit but he's more of a lem then he's letting on.

Ron has issues but at least he's slightly getting better at it.

1. X1X rivals or close to GTX 980 Ti or GTX 1070 in certain games.

X1X GPU's topology doesn't follow GTX 1070 e.g.

X1X GPU with 6.0 TFLOPS

2MB L2 cache for TMU

2MB L2 render cache for 32 ROPS

VS

GTX 1070 with ~6.5 TFLOPS

Unified ~2MB L2 cache for TMU and 64 ROPS

The wider difference leads to higher divergence.

--------------------------------

The situation is different with NAVI 10 vs TU106 or TU104 (gimped RTX 2070 Super version)

NAVI 10 XT GPU with 9.66 TFLOPS

Unified ~4 MB L2 cache for TMU and 64 ROPS

VS

RTX 2070 with ~8.6 TFLOPS or RTX 2070 Super FE with ~9.6 TFLOPS

Unified ~4 MB L2 cache for TMU and 64 ROPS

2. X1X rivaling GTX 980 Ti and GTX 1070 argument was made by Digital Foundry!

MS's demonstrated large game world-scale example.

  • Adaptive texture technology demonstration
  • Online mode texture stream
  • Offline mode texture stream
  • Local cache mode texture stream
  • Simulator: Planet Earth via Azure Bing map.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 is effectively Forza Horizon for planes.

Refer to FS2020's "Ideal Spec".

Shut your trap.

I'm not going to support NVIDIA anti-competition tactics.

Nvidia "anti-competiton"? They wipe the floor with the competition every cycle. If anything, AMD is "anti-competition" by continuously not launching a product that can compete with Nvidia at the top end. AMD's flagships match Nvidia's mid-range at best.

Now if you wanna talk that silly "anti consumer" b.s. with Nvidia, that would be more fitting. Nvidia charges more than they should for their products. But with no competition at the enthusiast level, Nvidia can do whatever they want.

I'm NOT going to support Intel compiler style anti-competition from NVIDIA. The difference is NVIDIA doesn't have a PC GPU monopoly in the overall PC market i.e. Intel dominates PC GPU market share.

For example

https://www.engadget.com/2018-05-07-nvidia-geforce-partner-program-closure.html

NVIDIA kills its 'anticompetitive' GeForce Partner Program

One thing is for sure: GPP has already been brought to the attention of both the FTC and European Commission. It's unlikely that its cancelation will be enough to stop either authority from looking into NVIDIA's wider business practices, should they believe something is awry.

XBO hardware is crap. Hint, desktops gaming wouldn't be lower than my active desktop PC GPUs.

So you're a hermit then, now that we've settled that what i'm curious as to what kind of games you play on this PC of yours?

and Microsoft Store.

Damn. Ron plays storefronts! That's another level.
