Played through quite a bit of Oblivion but was wondering if I go out and buy the GOTY edition, would i have to start over? Or can i resume my current character and quest with the added benefits of the extra content?

im-a-roustabout

The GOTY is Oblivion + some DLC which works exacly liek the regular DLC so you can continue your old character. But maybe downloading Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine is cheaper then buying the GOTY. It depends on where you life since in some areas the GOTY is cheap, also take into account that currently Shivering Isles is being sold with a discount on XBL.

The RPG parts outweigth the FPS parts, just like it outweight the turnbased parts in the 90s. You can call it what you want but imo Fallout 3 is a WRPG.

Depending on the price I woudl get the Game of the year edition. GEtting the regular, the shiveirng isles and then downloading knights of the nine is more expensive then getting the GOTY (in my cases). But whatever you do you cant go wrong with getting Oblivion, the original is large enough. Dont forget to download some small DLC from xbox live, having the wizard tower as a wizard can really increase the game's value.

I'm surprised you can buy new HD Ready TVs. My opinion is not to buy one. HD Ready TV's don't come with a built in HD Tuner. The thing is with a HD ready TV you'd have high def on your 360 but not on regular television and you'd need to buy an external HD Tuner which will run you some extra cash.Chopmo81

Are you saying that without the tuner your stuck on regular quality or that it just wont have the maximum quality? I'm mainly getting it for 360 but it would be nice if movies looked better aswell.

They tried some new things but they didnt know how the 360 gamers would react. I think they did hit the jackpot with Viva Pinata, which is original, addictive and fun if its not your thing then its not Rare's fault. Viva Pinata alone makes Rare's contribution a success, plus Kameo wasnt a bad game just not something the 360 community likes. Im not disappointed but Im also not blown away which could have been the case. But what the TC suggests (making sequels) would be a shame aswell, they try new things and I like that. Before this generation is over Im sure theyll make one more masterpiece.

I think it's almost a 100% sure that its a new IP, or atleast NOT a Halo game. They've said many times that Halo is fully owned by Microsoft and all Halo related questions should go to them, they didnt rule it out that they would never produce a Halo game for Microsoft again. But obviously they want to do different things and this would be the perfect oppertunity to do something compleetly new, question is will it be pyblished by Microsoft and if not will it be multiconsole?

For some, it means thew tempature went up too high so the 360 decided to shut itself down before it would PROD. But for some that's too late and the cables have already melted which results into PROD. Just be patient and prepare for the worst, I've had 2 red lights once and it works fine now.

If it does PROD then dont do the trick witht he pillow, it could cause the cables to reconnect but it will never be the same as before and you should use your free waranty.

All the new posts are a bit contradicting but overall it seems a LCD from Samsung wouldnt be a bad thing which is exacly the TV I was checking out. But one of the posts mentioned HD Ready isnt the same in Europe so here is the TV: http://www.kieskeurig.nl/product/E23DE25B93B691DBC1257367004AA24C.htm

Could anyone tell me if this is HD Ready?
