@xsonicchaos @bsford Did he mention the PC? He was comparing PS4 with XBone. He wasn't responding to you, you act as if the world turns around you.

Granted it was a rather foolish comparison. At this point in time both PS4 and XBone are still two consoles with a lot of unrealized potential. If we look at the previous generation then we know we can expect great things from both MS and Sony.

Count of Gamespot to have a review that sticks out. And that's the truth! (pun intended)

No feedbackula, I strongly disagree.

You can't tie a score to the political message of a game. Sure it might be more unfriendly toward women then GTA4 but isn't GTA as a whole unfriendly towards humanity? If we are to grade its morality then GTA deserves a 1 out of 10. At least if you put it next to the moral compass of modern western society. But you can't do that and gamespot never did so before. Afterall they gave GTA4 a perfect 10/10 while it too had a very questionable morals.

Instead you try to objectively grade the gameplay, graphics, sound and other measurable fields in comparison to other games. And gamespot apparently believed that GTA4 was a perfect 10/10. In my opinion it was not worth such a score. But there is no question that GTA5 is a huge improvement over GTA4 in each measurable field. Which means that at the very least gamespot has to give GTA5 a 10/10 as well.

@Darren James Silk I'm not one to defend Apple but Microsoft came up with halfbaked ideas. Microsoft had tablets and smartphones long before Apple did. They just threw Windows and Windows CE on it and called it a day. These systems weren't optimized or created for touch input. Lately Microsoft seems to be turning things around. They are finally taking risks and it leads to cool new products.

@Steven Kilpatrick We do? I haven't seen people with cases in ages. Maybe it differs from country to country. Anyway I think its more then just the color. It's the whole design of the one. The one shell feel. The way the shell wraps around the device. The way the edges look. If the screen was turned off and the color wasn't as kiddy then I would mistake it for a Lumia (especially the 620, the cheap version for which the 5c is a competitor).

Did they just add this? Seems like they are trying to hard to be like X1. Just stick to your original plan. There was nothing wrong with it.

@loneygod To each their own. I didn't like it at all. The repetitiveness of the gameplay and the environments really got on my nerves. It's the only Boware game I've only played once. And even that I had to rush because it was getting too boring.

Having said that this one looks much better. I won't make the mistake to buy this on day 1. But I'll give Bioware the benefit of the doubt. I do owe a lot of great gaming experiences to them.

Could be that it has a really cool story. Unfortunately I didn't like what they've done with the gameplay. All Bioware games have become a specific formula/structure. Once you figure it out there are no suprises to them. You have your combat zones, you have your talking zones. It's all clean-cut and as a result BORING.

At least in previous games such as KOTOR, Jade Empire and the original Mass Effect a bad conversation could turn into a fight. Now you know when you're in a talking zone. You can even predict what the results of all dialogue options will be. Show me that thats changed and I can be excited about a Bioware game again.

Meaningless words. Another generation, another Playstation. Sure it has better specs but so does the competition. We've seen that basically every multiplatform developers sticks to the standard when it comes to game graphics. So even if specs were twice that of the Xbone it wouldn't change the landscape of gaming.

I don't think any of these consoles are going to change the landscape. Original Xbox brought online gaming and gave First Person Shooters a permanent home on consoles. But the current generation hasn't seen any major changes. The Wii and Kinect brought fun new ways to play games but most games still have the controller as input.

But its ironic that Sony is now talking about changing the gaming landscape. Of the three consoles theirs is the most traditional. Which isn't necessarily bad, it does what it needs to do: play new games. Whereas Nintendo gave us a touchscreen controller and Microsoft is trying to change the landscape of digital entertainment as a whole. Both strategy can massively backfire but Sony is using a known formula. I like it but they shouldn't speak such meaningless words.
