@xshinobi: It will definitely be coming to next gen. The game is too new not to.

@archiegamerdad: How much of his face do you even see in the game? I never played Spidermen, but I can only assume that for the majority of the game, Peter Parker will be wearing a Spiderman mask.

@sippio: I never thought you were my enemy. I don't even know who you are. And if there's some other ronaldmcreagan on iirc, that is NOT me. I can't even remember the last time I posted on iirc. Well over 10 years now.

As for why a higher framerate would increase a games fun, well for one thing, it makes the experience much more immersive, and even the graphics look better because everything is so crystal clear. For me, 60FPS is like real life. 30FPS only looks good when the gameplay is static, like in screenshots.

@sippio: If you don't notice that 30FPS performs lousy and is a blurry mess every time you walk or move the in-game camera, then I can only assume you've never played an actual 60FPS game.

With a 60FPS game, there is no blurry vision. Everything is sharp. Just like in real life.

@mogan: I would be fine with the option of a "performance" and "resolution" mode. And I would choose performance mode every time. My sweet spot would be 1440p at 60FPS.

I'd also have no problem with 720p at 60FPS. I'm not a graphics whore. I'm a performance whore.

@mogan: I'm not dunking on PS4 gamers, I own a PS4 myself. I'm just dunking on "broken" 30FPS games in general. And as far as 30FPS being a console standard, hopefully that will finally come to an end next gen. Anything under 60FPS should become unacceptable within the gaming community.

BTW, I see you edited your post and removed the "douche" part. LOL.

@fraga500: It didn't play fine if it was running at 30FPS. 30FPS is called a broken game. Can a broken game still be played? Of course. But it's still broken.

Awful really awful.

Looked so much better in the original.

That new face is a downgrade in my opinion.

I'll just pick it up on PS4 and forget about this when and if I do decide to get a PS5

What matters most is the framerate has doubled. At 60FPS, the game is now ready to be played.

From the article: "It will also run smoother with a 60 FPS frame rate in Performance Mod"

Glad I waited for the finished product. And thanks to all you PS4 beta testers who played the game at an abysmal 30FPS.
