Now that I thought about it, this game could have been taken off even more points if Tom McShea were to review it. Let's see: Too much debauchery and violence, main characters aren't compassionate about committing mass murder and criminal activities nor do they mull over their personal struggles and just act like complete sociopaths.
@goggles123456 @rollerloller Sorry, man, but if you were to be given a salary check every month for writing for a digital gaming reviewer as if it were your personal tumblr rant, you deserve some shit slinging
@goggles123456 Imagine if a South Park episode were to be downgraded in such a manner because it was "too disgusting/childish/offensive" That's what it's sorta like for me.
@granola_goodnes Is it bad because portrayal of women being negative is bad, or that R didn't do a good job of it? The reviewer's poor attempt to sugarcoat the criticism as the latter makes me wonder if the former was the cause for all the grievous upset.
And there was never a point in eating Irish babies either, if one were to not read between the lines.
@pavel_btn Heck, according to the review, what was unsatisfying was simply the lack of interesting female characters and commercials catering to males as if they were cavemen (because, you know, satire) that somehow equates to oppression of women!
@granola_goodnes @rollerloller I claimed no knowledge of how the narrative conducts itself, so no I haven't. But you seem to acknowledge the game's "shallowness" and laps up the criticism like the gospel. I also did not question anyone's tastes, just displayed disbelief at the weak rationalization and thus remain skeptical (hence salt) of this review until I have played it myself, not brush it aside as you think.
