The titles Ubisoft has in the pipeline, while good games, sound like straight-to-DVD films at best.

So it looks spectacular but its gameplay is just good? Hmm. That's just not good enough anymore when it comes to upgrading my PC. Sounds like just a pretty rehash of what has come before.

@Greyfeld I think you can expect it on current gen systems...and possibly next gen if they are out by the time the store hits shelves. Ubisoft's senior VP of sales and marketing at E3 said the game would be on PC, PS3, X360 and possibly the WiiU. This leaked promotional piece also states that the game is available on all home consoles.

@zeusbark I think it will have a good launch, but they're going to have their work cut out for them convincing people to upgrade from their Wii (or to just buy a Wii-U outright) after Nintendo fans have picked everything up at launch. The games being more expensive will also scare the more casual gamers (or their parents) away. Never smart to bet against Nintendo, but this isn't a guaranteed hit.

@EKGProd I wouldn't even call it icing on the cake. More like, they have the icing and are trying to slide a cake underneath it.

I wouldn't take any of this too seriously. If Nintendo's box ends up being something special with great 3rd party support, all bets are off. But it's waaaay to early to say. If the Wii U ended up launching with GTA V that would be a coup.

@ lionheartssj1 "I guarantee that we are being conditioned for unfinished games and status quo DLC add-ons for them." I think you've nailed it right there.

I can see the difference, but I guess don't really care. I've got a dual boot so will probably play it on both, but I'll be interested to see if the Vista version has more issues out of the box than XP.
