I have Glenn Davis, Brian Scalabrine, and J.R. Giddens on the Celtics roster but when I play as them those three are not available to sub in. When I tried to fix the roster minutes for each player it says that I can only change minutes for active players. How can I make them active players?

I need help bad. Im dying to know how to get Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, etc. I know you have to create them but how do u make them look like themselves and have their capabilities. And also, can u make a 70s or something team because I cant have Magic Johnson playing with Kobe? Please help. The game is NBA 2K9 for PS3 (obviously). Thanks.
