Did any of the SW games even take place post ROTJ other than the Dark Forces series?

[QUOTE="fnevaeva"]But how could you just no longer exist? Wouldn't your body mass have to go somewhere?ferrari2001

That's why it's impossible to reach absolute zero. It defies physics and the whole law that matter can be neither created or destroyed. That is precisely why it is impossible to reach absolute zero. But you said what would happen if you did and I told you what would happen, if you threw physics out the window of course.

Thats not actually true. An experiment was done earlier this year (Jan I think) in which scientists were able to bring a gas to negative temperatures on the Kelvin scale. The result was something like the atoms in the gas exhibited the behavior one would expect in a gas with infinite energy. The subzero gas defied thermodynamics and brings the possibilty of one day maybe having beyond 100% efficient engines (ie free energy)

I think the majority of you are going to be disappointed with Xbox720/PS4 if all you care about is the resolution games are rendered in. Sure most launch titles will probably be 1080p, but as the next consoles get further into their life cycle with devs trying to push more and more out of the hardware, they'll sacrifice resolution to get more shading and lighting effects along with more post processing effects....just like they have done this generation.

Unless MS/Sony mandate that all games must be native 1080p the choice will belong to the devs. And most devs feel that lowering the resolution to gain more processing power for other effects results in better overall graphics quality than having higher res with less gfx effects.

What are we using as the definition of "aliens"? That term could mean:

1. Any life elsewhere in the universe (i.e. bacteria)

2. Complex intelligent life that have formed or will go on to form civilizations elsewhere in the universe

3. Extraterrestrials that have visited Earth and have come in contact with humans (i.e. UFO's, abductions, working with governments, coverups)

Depending on which of those definitions you use the odds vary immensely.

1 almost certainly exisits (> 95% chance)

3 almost certainly doesn't exisit ( << 1% chance)

2 is the wildcard. Its the one everyone wants to know. I'm of the opinion that there are probably other civilizations out there, BUT they are far less frequent than what might be expected given the size of the universe. They are far from an absolute certainty anyways, and due to the of the size of the Universe they will be impossible to contact.

I wonder how the Dutch plan on dealing with the fact that Mars has virtually no magnetic field. Sending people to stay for prolonged periods would be a death sentence. I'd love to go to Mars but dying from cancer inside of 5 years doesnt sound like much fun...
