@galva86: Kinda agree with jenovaschilld, but the old games are gold. Bit of a steep learning curve, and a bit confusing in the start, but with some time and patience it´s all good. A alternative to the old XCOM games would be Xenonauts (available at Steam for $25 (Norway)). Same feel but newer and a bit easier to get into.

@adro191: Thanks! Visuals are important, but maybe not in all games. I´m playing the shit out of Kerbal Space Program right now. It´s a game with full release april this year, but looks like a game from early 2000 at best. Still a great and intuitive game, just like XCOM was. Hopefully XCOM 2 will produce the same experience.

@iknowthepiecesf: If the graphics is all you care about, I would dare to call you the "ignorant kid".

I would not pay $75 for a bad game, but Firaxis games usually go so much deeper than visuals. If you don´t like the look, and don´t wanna spend your money on it based on that, then it´s your loss. Keep our money or go buy "Vanishing of Ethan Carter". It´s a beautiful game and it´s only 20 bucks on steam. The rest of us will enjoy XCOM for what it represents - tactics.
