Thats the first time I hear that. Everybody was saying the game is 40 hours or so.

I find it hard to believe the game is only 15 hours. The overall game has a rather slow pace to it. Besides it comes on 3 discs! They're has to be a lot of FMV's in the game. I'm sure the game is a minimum of 30-40 hours.

As the OP said the game is reviewing in the good but not great range. Unlike some people I'm still really liking some of the art direction and will be buying this game. The only ? is when will I find time to play. The gaming deluge has begun already with Persona 3, Bioshock, Jeanne D'Arc, Metroid Prime 3 ......

I actually found a negative on this game:

"Of the few qualms I have with BioShock, the chief amongst them was an ubiquitous "hacking" mini-game, required to get discounts in vending machines or turn security cameras on your side. It became an exercise in tedium fairly quickly, but was optional, and also avoidable"

That was from a review on shacknews, of course the rest is non stop praise. The game has been reviewed at 17 different sites, the averarge is around 98%.

As much as I want to play the game now, I'm enjoying the anticipation in a weird way. Now if only EBStop will just open at midnight ....

Bioshock is destroying all hope for metroid, Halo, Mass Effect, Ratchet, (anyone coming out after Aug 21)

My friend came over and played the demo today. He also experienced the "OMG I can play now this is not a cutscene part in the beginning"

He was just sitting there floating in the water. I didn't say anything as i wanted to see how long it took to realize that you are in control. The game is that gorgeous.

Beginning aside I love the art deco style so much there are no words. I am easily going to spend 30+ hours exploring every nook and cranny of this beautiful world. It's such a refreshing change of environment for a game.

And if you like the art you may want to know that an art book went up at cultofrapture.com. Awesome! I didn't look at it much since i didn't want to spoil the game.

Things Bioware is killing me with by not providing:

1. Release date for Mass Effect.

2. Images and gameplay video of Sonic RPG.

I just wanted to say that solving the control scheme problem of console RTS' by implementing a voice control system sounds very intriguing.

Good luck to them. Seems like everybody is trying to find the "golden" console RTS scheme. EA with two releases now, Ubisoft with their voice system, and I'm pretty sure Halo Wars will have its own scheme as well.

I know its blizzard, but that would remove a lot of the thunder of this announcement IMO.
