As mentioned in the comments section of the article, the test was flawed:

Here's what they mentioned:

* There's no way to confirm from that test that the three systems are all at full-charge with every single setting turned on

* The 3DS might have been at the "hidden 6th brightness level," which drains the battery much more than at the normal maximum brightness

* The poster should have used a launch PSP for comparison...not a later model with expanded battery / more efficient power usage
