It's a terrorist state whether Bolivia declares it or not. Still, I admire their political stand.

As long as the world is hating motherfucking Jews, its all good in the hood, amirite?

Anyone who doesn't see that both sides share the blame in this obviously cannot analyze and interpret.

There's no symmetry here; one is using force to annex land from an entire people, the other is resisting the annexation. The resistance is met with terror from the state. It's an old story of Western colonialism.

It must be nice to live in a bubble where you make up history and the rules.

Don't even bother. Just do what I am doing and sit back reading and laughing at the sheer stupidity being displayed in these types of threads by the idiots. I would say a good 75%+ of the GS community is clueless children.

Pretty much.

Honestly these are the responses you people give to talented people that just lost their jobs?

Obviously not everyone has the same opinion on you for what qualifies as "talented".

Being happy about people losing their job is vile. I came here expecting people to be supportive and concerned for hard working, fantastic writers and producers etc. that no longer are gainfully employed. Those of you "happy" about them losing their employment should be ashamed of yourselves.

Lost their job? Carolyn's tweet indicates a walk-out...

You're confusing people quitting their jobs with getting fired lol... besides, there's always another job...end of a job isn't the end of their life, particularly in this industry.

This.

Carolyn tried to make news stories out of reviews and get political. Mcshea was a joke. This site is better off.

Stop fucking about with wars in countries and cultures we don't understand would be a good start. Whilst it's the religious Jihad that catches all the headlines most of the suicide bombings and such are politically motivated (there's a study on this iirc).

I know here in the UK we're trying to stop British muslims from going abroad to fight, that's sensible in my eyes also.

A lot of countries that have been targeted haven't done anything to incite it. It's a religious war based on ideology, which is why it's so dangerous and cannot be ignored.

...you want to have a respectful conversation with fundamentalists?

And after that you can tell the Westboro Baptist Church to stop being jerks

This really isn't a secret that there is a holy war on pretty much everybody that isn't islam. I'm in no way saying all of islam is on board with this. There are extremists in every religion. Westboro is a good example and the crusades were terrible. This thread is intended to understand the mindset, the history and reasoning of how the extremists came to be. Understanding history and how we got to where we are is fundamental on how to avoid repeating the past or growing as a race in general.

If the mods feel like this is inappropriate, then lock it, and I apologize in advance. Users like Sun-tzu have brought a lot of information and understand behind the Israel/Palestine conflict. It'd be interesting to get a bigger scope on the middle-eastern situation, and it's ignorant to realize that there isn't a problem that stems from there, and the oppression it brings in those countries.

F Westboro for the record.

It's no secret there is a jihad on the western world and other parts of the world. With ISIS and other radical groups there is a huge problem. I know I am being quite vague but I want a lot of ground covered. I think a respectful conversation about the culture would prove to be fruitful with understanding the other side.
