Nope. MGS4 definitely deserved a 10, and probably GTA IV as well. It's obvious that some of these games being pushed out are low standard. You have games that are broken, unpolished, and it really shows. How can games like Too Human and Mercs 2 expect to get high scores if they can't even keep up with the big boys like Crysis, Gears of War 2, Spore, and the rest? I dont know about you but you just know when a game is Triple A quality. And none of the games lately have shown that at all.
neither deserved 10's. They are highly celebrated franchises which is why they scored so high.
imo gta 4 is a 7.5, 8 at the highest and mgs a 9.0
if too human had as many cutscenes as that they would have docked off 2 whole points.
And there's a perfectly good reason why they're highly celebrated. I'm more than sure many will disagree with you but it's your opinion, however.
i think you're wrong because in your first post you just proved him correct. you said can't keep up with gears 2 even though nobody knows if it will be good. you're just saying it will be good because they first one was great.
