@bobbobbley: Whataboutism. That's all you are doing.

How can we ever tackle the issues within the left when people keep making excuses for it?

If you have to go back to the past to justify actions of today, then you have no justification.

Demo locked behind a pre-order. That defeats the purpose.

I think I will pass on this one. EA has not earned my trust in quite a while, I see no reason for this to change with this game but I live to be proven wrong. They are bound to do something shady... Right?

EDIT: Oh wait, I just read elsewhere that there are two demos. One for VIPs and another for everyone else.

@Terrorantula: It sucks? It's one of the best games I've played in recent years.

@daneyul: You don't need calming. It seemed you were insinuating that it was deliberately buried and then doubled down on the "Dick move," Remark. It sounded like you needed some calming but it is written text, what can you do?

There are many bugs in the game, some minor some not, I assume Rockstar are trying to put out a fix for as much as possible and testing them. This takes time. You know this, I am certain of that. Yet this bug which really doesn't affect the game at all, except to have you scratching your head at where the Marston family have been all this time when they suddenly come back into the game for a mission, that's what gets your hackles up?

I lost 2 hours of gameplay on Sunday due to Javier Escuala coming to ask where I had been and if I wanted to ride back to camp with him, to which I said yes. Only for the game to freeze up on the autosave and I spent the next 5 minutes staring at a black screen watching a tiny gun cylinder spin constantly. I had to switch games just to get out of it and it was then I discovered my auto-save was borked. I had to reload a manual save, it was annoying but I quickly forgot about it. Is that more or less annoying for you? I mean I suppose I didn't miss anything as far as I am aware. It is a bug, surely, it needs fixing, surely, yet at the end of the day, who cares? It was just a mild annoyance, that's all. I'd say even more so than the ghost Marstons. I mean you miss content in the game depending on how you play the game anyway, yes it is deliberate but again, some mundane dialogue is just not enough for me to understand how you can declare Rockstar are being dicks about it.

"One man's mountain is another man's molehill." Apparently so.

I don't see how this could ever be considered as trying to bury something when every major gaming website, around 300 YouTubers and their Mum having talked about the bug. You are dipping dangerously close into conspiracy territory and for no good reason. They care enough to make a good game, they care enough to make the game fun and they care enough to not go the route other companies have, in becoming multiplayer focused only.

I was trying to keep it light-hearted but I suppose, in hindsight, it does come across as snarkiness.

Look, all the best, mate. You're not that other guy in this thread, assuming Rockstar fanboyism when it isn't, I think we'll have to agree to disagree.

You seem alright to me.

Take care.

@daneyul: Bloody hell, calm down.

Did they do it deliberately? No. Did they ignore it? No. Could they have done more? Sure, maybe. Still not seeing it as a "Dick move," Just you and others overreacting.

So you can miss some mundane dialogue with them, big whoop, who cares? You do not miss the missions, only the same limited dialogue that the other characters use. Snappy, one word answers, for the most part. You know, such brilliance as "Uh-huh," And that 'Classic' Marston line (that every single one of them says) "Okay then." OUTRAGEOUS! Now, crawl along broken glass on your bare bellies Rockstar! This is unacceptable!!

A dick move in this context implies deliberate obfuscation, is that what you seriously believe? That they buried it?

Maybe they can't give an estimation because they didn't know themselves what is the root cause of it. If you can go hours and hours without knowing then it cannot be that big of a deal. The missions are still there, you are barely missing anything. In fact, I'd argue that it is less mundane dialogue for you to interact with.

Hey, I know, hold up your copy of Red Dead Redemption and look at John Marston on the cover, then in the game of RDR II walk up to Pearson and Greet. Now, when he answers, look at Marston on the cover and pretend the dialogue came from him. There, that's your work around. You have now missed nothing. You may need a greater imagination for Abigail and Jack though.

It feels like you are making a mountain out of a molehill, TBH.

@fnl4eva23: That's right, I get my first cheque from TakeTwo Inc next week. Not sure where you get this idea of attack though, maybe because you derp yourself, child?

What is common, I find, is when idiots show up in a thread, arguing and insulting someone who was trying to have a civil conversation. Nothing I said was false or defending Rockstar, I voiced my own issues in this very page.

Now go away and come back once you get past puberty.
