My god what a bag of misleading crap! Gamespot have posted the only benchmarks and settings where the 2900XT is ahead. I am pro ATi, but I find myself outraged by this misleading nonsense. You can say this is only a hands on, but gamespot only does post hands on for hardware without following up. This is ridiculous and irresponsibly journalism. The card is ahead in 3Dmark06 but miles behind the GTX and GTS in any gaming benchmark at 1280x1024, 1024x768 or 1650x1050! The only resolution it closes the gap in is 2048x1536! Maybe 1% of the gaming market even pay at that. Most play at 1280x1024 or thereabouts, and the card fails at that resolution.I find it unbelievable that it is the only resolution gamespot displayed benchmarks. This is really fishy, and misleading. People will be thinking this card will give them better results than a GTS or a GTX when it obviously doesn't. Please check out the following before making a decision. Again, this is quite appalling. http://www.anandtech.com/video/showdoc.aspx?i=2988http://enthusiast.hardocp.com/article.html?art=MTM0MSwxLCxoZW50aHVzaWFzdA==http://www.tomshardware.com/2007/05/14/r600_finally_dx10_hardware_from_ati/

I can run this game on my dual monitor set up and this game is fantastic. To all those who talk about console gaming, please go back to your kiddie systems. Playing games on the PC is like painting on a full canvas.
