i just downloaded landscape and towns version of these mods from nexus using NMM, i am new at this, so please bear with me, in NMM under mods both are listed as activated, under plug-ins tab the official Beth Texture packs 1,2 are checked, when i load the game i dont see much of a difference, am i suppose to disable the Beth pack in order for 2K packs to work ?

i dont know how to use console commands either, when i load the game, the game start up only shows the 4 mods i got from steam workshop as syncd, not the ones i got from nexus, suggestions ?

Lesson 1: dont be a butterdick Lesson 2: feed your PC some witcher 1 and 2, and SOme crysis.

already beat Witcher 2, sorry to disappoint, its no where near as awesome as Skyrim, and Crysis you say ? well, lets just say, i dont waste my time on worthless FPS games that are dime a dozen and offer no enjoyment or innovation whatsoever.

[QUOTE="professorkao5"]

thanks for the tips guys, i got Skyrim and Mass effect 2 off of steam, i added some mods off of steam workshop for skyrim, but haven't tested skyrimnexus, i need help using nexus tools to add some mods off of that site, and i know some tweaking can be done in the ini file for skyrim, but i dont know how, i heard you can glitch the game badly is anything goes wrong. as far as ME2 goes, i saw some outfit mods, and texture mods, again those need texmod, and coalesced manipulation, i am scared i may mess up my games. it would have been nice to find some crash course in modding and tweaking these 2 games, i'll keep looking, thanks.

Tbh,adding mods for Skyrim isn't really difficult (it's not difficult for any game really, but can seem a bit daunting to a new user). But most of the Skyrim Nexus mods are on the Steam workshop now anyway, so it's much easier to just use it from there. (Except the 18+ Mods like naked stuff etc.)

i was looking for FXAA post process injector mod for skyrim, its not on steam workshop but only on nexus, some guy on youtube posted a video without any instructions on how to install it w/o corrupting the game.

so i just got into PC gaming, i was wondering if there is any place on the web, where i find tutorials on PC gaming, everything from adding mods, to altering ini files, and using notepad and console commands to alter the game, i am a noob at all of this. i tried to google, but when i search its showing me beginners guide for creating a gaming PC, not exactly what i am looking for. Any ideas ?

There's an 8.66" 6870 for ~$165 on Newegg.

GS550L

that one is apparently riddled with heat issues as well, XFX doesn't have good repultation i guess.

what do you think of this one ? seems to be better than 550ti and 6850 on many benchmarks, and without the heat and loud fan.

including the plug sticking out the back of it and a little room for the wires, it is about 9 14 "MuD3

yea that wont fit, i have just enough space for something the size of EVGA GTX 550ti, which happens to be 8. 25 in, too bad the card sucks tho, is there any other alternative besides these two cards ?

i have a gateway mid size tower PC, currently i have EVGA GTX 550ti installed on it, playing Witcher 2, its running ok on medium setting, but the GPU is getting insanely hot, and the fan speed is ridiculously loud, on load GPU is at 78c, 51 on idle, fanspeed ranging between 40 to 60. i know that having a stock case is partly contributing to this, but doing some research i found this card is notorious for its hotness, and loud fan, something i didn't find before buying.

anyway, i still have 2 wks to get refund, i have been looking at Radeon HD 6850 by sapphire, its got really good reviews, but in the videos at youtube it looks enormous, i mean the GTX 550ti fits snug in my case, anything bigger than that wont fit. is there anything on the same level of HD 6850 that is about as big in size as 550ti ?

my specs

Intel i3, 6gb DDr3, 1tb HD, 650 w PSU.
