Hello, anyone stopping here to listen to my problem. You see, I am trying to play my PS3 on this monitor ( with sound and top notch graphics, but what is odd is when I hook up the HDMI cable and the multi cable (the multi cable is this cable that comes with a PS3 and protruding out of it are red, white, and yellow male inputs) to the PS3 and then hook the other ends of the multi cable to an extension that finally connects to the monitor (yes, the HDMI cable is also jacked into the monitor as well as the speakers hooked up to the extension), the resolution is demoted down from the nice 1080p to something like 480p. So when I am at the menu screen of the PS3, the resolution is 1080p and the sound works, but whenever I go to play a game, the sound still works, but the resolution is bumped down to that 480p and it just looks gross. To add, now that I have the RGA cable hooked up for the sound and the HDMI cable hooked up for the picture, I cannot go back to it ever being HD graphics. So I'm wondering if this problem of choppy, jagged, and just plain fuzzy graphics has to do with the cables, or if I should mess with the Display Settings or Game Settings in the PS3 menu screen. If this is the case, I have tried both PS Smoothing and Upscaler on off, full, and even limited for the Game Settings, but it still has the same crappy visuals. For Display, I'm not sure what more I can really change, as my resolution is provided by the HDMI cable (so I pick that option in the settings), and the other options don't look like they do anything, but perhaps I am wrong. I apologize if this is a lot to take in, but if anyone could read past my awful translating of computer cable technology and spot the issue or add any advice or instructions on how to fix this so that I always have 1080p resolution, I would be entirely thankful.
