The XB1 WILL start to catch up eventually... once the hackers find a way to jailbreak the machine, or create a mod to get rid of the DRM. Microsoft will ensure there are enough quality exclusives on the machine to keep the hackers interested in cracking it.

There are already folks planning to create a dongle that pretends to be a Kinect, so folks can keep that plugged-in rather than the controversial camera.

And it will be cracked, wide open - just as the original XBox and 360 were. This time I guess MS are counting on it.
