That's my thinking too SolidTy. I've always prefered something tangible and while DD is convenient, your paying for a bunch 0s and 1s at the end of the day lol.

The problem I face, however, is that I don't trust that my disks will remain in pristine condition over the next couple decades and I'm not one to go out and buy remakes. I STILL have my NES/SNES cartridges from when I was a kid (im now 35) and my consoles broke but I recently replaced them and bam! all my collection is there 20something years later. I love the feeling and I just don't think its possible with DD.. yet I cling onto Steam. I have over a grand invested in my Steam account and for some reason I feel safer with it. I don't know why because it's the same situation but maybe it's because Valve has a policy in place that should the fact they go belly up you can download your games in advance and they'll unlock them (or something). If only consoles did this.. I mean we paid money for it, afterall.

I'm not an either/or kinda person as I like to have stuff alike and splitting my collection between DD for PC and physical for console is getting on my nerves. I WOULD go all out DD if I only had a *hint* that MS plans to extend the marketplace at least until next gen rolls out (or longer) which would buy me enough time. Your reason why they won't tell us makes sense.. so I guess I'll gamble on games that go on sale.

The marketplace is specifically what I'm wondering about. I worry about all the games I've bought (and plan to buy). If they drop the marketplace any time soon then I'll loose faith in digital. I mean surely there has to be thousands like me that will be pissed, but I'm also sure there are thousands more nowaday who don't care and run out to the latest and greatest (Xbox One) and rebuy there stuff there. I don't know I would just like a rough estimate on how long we will be abe to re-download stuff we paid for. The original Xbox I can understand since there wasn't nearly as much going on.

Forgive me if this has been answered but do we have any idea how long Live will last beyond Xbox 360's death? I mean if they did what they did last time then they'll leave it up for another couple years then pull the plug. But I'm thinking ppl had too much investment last gen with digital downloads, and that they should at least extend it for quite some time so we can redownload our arcade titles, for example. I figure if they keep it up indefinately (or at least a long time) then they'll continue to have sells and provide a trustworthy service.

The prime reason I ask is because there are still many games (some retail and dozens of indie titles) on 360 that I'd like to get and I'm not sure if I should seek the discs out, find them on PC, or just buy them on Live when they go on sale. I'm interested to know what you think. Thanks.

Quick question about the HD 598. In most reviews, they say it's overall excellent for gaming but lacking in bass. I'm not a bass-head, and not a fan of artificial bass so I want to go the opposite of the beats route. With that said, I do appreciate gunfire and explosions while gaming so will these give me enough 'umph' here? If so I'm sold as it looks like these are among of the best I can get (for the price) with the least amount of amp. Really want to take advantage of my built-in amp of the new motherboard I got if possible.

If it's going to last several good years then I don't mind paying up to $400 for headphones. I don't want to skimp out here. Would you recommend the HD 650s if I don't have an external amp? Also would the HD595 sound better than the HD650 with no amp? I dunno if my mobo has a good enough amp for the HD650 but if it does then I'll be looking in that direction. Thanks!

This has probably been answered so forgive me in advance.. but it's been awhile since I've posted here and I have a burning question.

It's been several years since I've PC gamed and I still have my Sennheiser HD 558 headphones. I've never used any amp but I find these very comfortable and the sound quality is amazing, but could be better I suppose. I typically play fps such as Doom 3, Crysis, etc so I enjoy hearing all the nuances in game that this set gives me.

But now I'm interested in upgrading, as I just did my whole PC. I have an MSI Z87-G45 motherboard which has a built-in headphone amp and creative labs sound blaster cinema which I'd like to take advantage of. Is there a set of headphones that is much superior, and just as comfortable to plug in hours at a time that would be a good match for my setup? I'm not interested in gimmicks such as voice chat, 5.1 simulated surround, and what have you. I just want genuine stereo headphones that will reproduce modern games well. I haven't done much if any research so should I be looking at Sennheisers or something else? Thanks.

Question-  I already have Dead Island (never played it) that I bought earlier and it's the regular version.  Now there's a GOTY version for $5.  Somehow it says I bought the DLC but don't remember doing so and it's not showing up in my list.  Is DLC for this game available in game or do I need to re-buy the GOTY version or is just free?  I could probably find out but just don't have the time now and thought I'd ask while the summer sale is going.  Thanks.

Just curious because all I have is the original SF IV.  Does all 3 titles (orginal, SSFIV, SFIV:AE) have different single player story modes that are only available with their respective releases or can I expect to have every cut scene if I buy the arcade edition?  I like going through the story modes of each character and just wonder if I will miss out by not buying SSF IV?  Also I will keep my copy of SF IV if cut scenes are exclusive to that.  I know that arcade edition is the one to own but I'm anal about having all the cut scenes.

What I want to know is why is the start of the game blurry? To be fair.. I only demoed the game but the first 5 min looked blurry and the framerate was low to the point of lagging when your the little girl running through the city. I didn't play more than 5 min as I was in a rush but I thought possibly the Vita I demoed was screwed up, or is it purposesly blurred j(and slow) at the beginning? If so wonder why it dragged like that. I played other Vita games and wasn't near that slow. I probably should have spent more time with it.
