@rabidgiantsr: Pointing the finger at customers is frivolous. These practices became entrenched by pushing against customer distaste for years. They're still pushing against customer distaste. Large corporations do what they want because they aren't responsive to customers. There isn't going to be a spontaneous game industry boycott large enough to force their hand and they know it.
@yeahhwhateverr: The ESRB doesn't have any legal power to enforce its ratings, but in this case, its goal is certainly alarming from a privacy perspective. Ironically, I heard the same things said about COPPA. At least some good seems to have come of it.
I suppose if you focus on mass-producing disposable mobile live services that all shut down in under a year, you won't get stuck with costly mistakes like Suicide Squad. Can't argue with that.
The original DMC3 PC port does not have a good rep. As far as I know, 4's is fine, but it was released in 2008 and I'm not sure a case exists where SE isn't just better.
