also its nice that alot of developers are now doing public betas on games, I just wish games other than shooters would start doing betas like sports games, I did see the crew beta gameplay on gamespot. It would be cool if microsoft did open public betas on their windows operating systems ;)

I think it would be cool if alot of games had both betas and demos, where the betas would come out way earlier than demos so that you give the developers your feedback and would be enough time to fix alot of the things that are wrong with a game and demos more like a final version a week or two before the game comes out. I know thats how it is now anyway but not alot of times you get both a beta and a demo

as a kid I used to always go to babbages or eb games at the mall and go to the counter and ask them if they had any demos, alot of times they had some really nice demos right there for people to grab and try out. I still have alot of the dreamcast and playstation magazine / underground demos. One of my favorite demos was tony hawk skater. its cool that now days you can just download them from your xbox or playstation, too bad not too many demos for pc's, i used to see pc magazines with game demos but I never had a gaming pc :(
