Laura, i consider you both right and wrong at the same time. While i agree with you desription of what a work of art is and i agree it's creators should not feel obligated to change it based on audience's opinion, i also understand that the Mass Effect franchise's success was built based on making the players choice impact the story of the game. Bioware has given the power to the audience to influence the outcome of it's work of art from the very beggining of Mass Effect 1. I understand the community complaints as completely valid, since Bioware spent the 3 games giving that power to the players, only to take it completely away in the very ending of the trilogy. You see, if you have played all three games to end, you will know that, while all the choices you made during those three games had impact during the story, none of them actually had any impact in the ending of Mass Effect 3. That is the point i think Bioware went wrong. Giving all the power to the players, only to, in the very last moments of this marvellous story, take it all away. As i see it, all the choices we have made over the three games should, in one way or another, influence the third installment's ending.
