YAH This Is AMERICA!!! woah!! I can't wait till they start putting rape in games and beastiality... cause this is America!! "Having some pixels interact with some other pixels shouldn't mean much." Freedom of Speech and claims that "its only a game" can only go so far. While I don't have a problem with Bioshock, as I have it preordered, I do have a problem with the reasoning for why it is okay. I don't have a problem killing mutants, but using the excuse that it is just a game opens the door for hate into games and further reinforces it in society. While I don't fully agree with censorship, I couldn't agree with a game which uses rape, childabuse, racism, etc as a means of entertainment. While this isn't the case in Bioshock, your reasoning opens the door for such forms of entertainment.
Would you be so quick to say "its just a game" or "this is america" if they made a 9/11 flight sim game or a B*tchhuntgame where your weapon is rape? While these games, including Bioshock, are rated M, there are a lot of children who play these games and they may not make them into serial killers but they probably wouldn't make them more sympathetic to the plight and pain of abused women and children.
