So far it's been World of Tanks. Damn that game sucks. Graphics are horrible and the gameplay just isn't involving. Once your tank is down it's down for the whole round. Only played a few matches before I deleted it.

I thought I'd give it more time but then when I went to play it, it hit me with a 1+ GB patch update right after I downloaded the 7+ GB client and patch, no way in hell I'm wasting anymore time.

@ojmstr:

No problem!

Yea man you should try them.

Bad Company 2, Mercenaries 2, and Red Fraction Armageddon have the best destruction I've seen. In Bad Company 2 the destruction flows very well. The building debris and dirt kick up flows nicely. Imagine a BMP-3 ramming through a wall and lobbing 30mm rounds at a house while an Mi-28 attack chopper rockets the area nearby. That's what I love about that game, everything flows. Very hard though. After playing BF3 and BF4 I went back and played it for a while and let me tell you it is HARD. The normal mode is pretty much hardcore mode.

The destruction in Mercenaries 2 is huge. The graphics aren't great but if you can get over that it's amazing. Entire building complexes can be brought down, long suspension bridges can be destroyed, trees cut down, shacks obliterated, literally everything can be taken out. Only thing you can't do is deform the terrain.

I only played the demo for Red Fraction Armageddon but it also has total destruction. One of the weapons you have is a magnet gun with which you can rip things from their fixtures and hurl them at enemies. You can take the walkway in front of you and chuck it at the roof.

I know of these videos by IGN and I thought I'd share them. Some of them are quite funny and informative. They explain the story of a number of video games. They might give you a good laugh, I'll post the ones I found most enjoyable.

personally i think it trash. the gun play isnt fun, every gun has the recoil of a freakin cannon, you die in the blink of an eye from a shot to the arm but a grenade to the face only does 60 damage. on ps3 it looks horrendous, like an early ps2 game. color, textures, graphics are terrible. ive been playing it giving it a change to let me like it but its just so frustrating to play when you die instantly from so many things.

^^THIS. It does look disgusting on the PS3 but remember it is just the beta.

No way in hell I'm buying Hardline, more like HardFail, AMIRITE?? Anyway, not very cops and robbers, more like internal army vs mercenaries. How the hell are the "robbers" so heavy armed? They have SMGs, assault rifles, and RPGs!!! It felt very militarized, of course the developers can't actually go for a genuine cops and robbers game considering no one will buy it. Tell me, who would want to rob a bank in-game with only a .22?

When people say this is just a mode for BF4 they couldn't be more right.

@ojmstr: I respect your opinion but I just don't see BF4 living up to being a true Battlefield game. The game is trying to appeal to a BIG audience thus more $$$. This makes the game very board in the sense of core values, they're not making something which will only appeal to BF players but also other players like CoD and whatnot. Quite mishmashed.

I'm surprise you mention destruction, in the base game and China Rising it's almost none existent, it would be a blessing if a tank round goes through a simple wall. Bad Company 2 was so beautiful. Everything could be taken down with ease. But of course the whole layout of those maps were different and the building design was completely different. If a BF games starts having destruction like the type in Red Fraction Armageddon that'll be a real treat.

It hasn't been too bad, Obliteration with vehicles is fun.

Cool vid.

Mercenaries 2: World in Flames. I've started playing that recently and it's just great. It's like GTA and Battlefield got married. Game mechanics are fun. Only thing is the graphics aren't great and the textures aren't of great quality. If this game had the graphics of Just Cause 2 it would be heaven.

I think it started last year since I started studying for university , and I got accepted , so my life situation dosen't let me play anymore but that isn't the case , in the summer I had time but I didn't finish any of the games I bought . when I play new video games these days , I just feel like already played them before . they are the same thing as they were before , Destiny was exactly like borderlands in Haloish universe , the evil within ? I already had played it in resident evil 4 years ago , sunset overdrive got boring after only few hours , Dragon age was vast and open and many things to do but I just felt like ... I had no energy to get into the game . I only played 4 hours of it and then I sold it .

I still WANT to play games as a hobby sometimes , but games these days don't impress me anymore . new gen graphics didn't have much of a impact . to me looks like the ideas just got old ... all games are looking the same and the play the same way and they are very uninteresting .

is this just me , or its video game industry ? do you other gamers feel that way ?

I don't blame you, every game these days is just a DLC of a previous game. Far Cry 4 is no more than an add-on, Battlefield 4 is a really bad add-on , all the bloody Assassin's Creed games, etc etc.

Hell, I didn't even play online, I just stuck with the skirmishes. I remember what I did, I played on Kashyyyk as a sniper throughout the match. I camped and took everyone out. Hehhehe.

There HAS to be a skirmish mode in the game. Just has to be.
