Hopefully all those RPG's will see a UK release, some are 100% sure like Blue Dragon, Cry On, Lost Odyssey, Infinite Undiscovery, Circle of Doom.

For the others one can pray they will be out at some point

WOW, and none is for PS3

Was that sarcasm?

No, he means there is a very small number of those games that multiplatform.

Ah, he could have said "Only two of those confirmed for PS3" or something~

He could've, but then again he shouldnt have to state the obvious.

Well, when i made the comment to be frank i did not have that list in mind, but my list of what i expect from xbox 360 rpg's, with Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon, Fable 2, Jade Empire 2, Oblivion, Elder Scrolls 5, Cry On, Trusty Bell, Infinite Undiscovery, Two Worlds, Overlord, Elveon, Circle of Doom which all seem stunning and all have a 99% chance to make it to UK (maybe bar Trusty Bell), all those are 100% xbox 360 exclusives for now and by FAR my most wanted ones.

For others i care less, maybe Couldcept Saga, Magna carta 2 and Obsydian rpg turn out good, but are not top on my list yet. Also some i do not know if they will ever make it to UK.

Known multiplatforms i am interested in are LOTR:White Council and Bioshock most of all.

Hey, what a great post!  Ignore these nervous haters, you done good, son.  Although there are a couple of shots that are clearly pre-renders or just concept art, there are tons of screens that are obviously taken from gameplay, and lots of these screens are totally new to me.  It doesn't matter though, because people will be dogging MS systems for being "just FPS and racers" for as long as they want, regardless of reality.WeeWeeJumbo

It IS a great list, and there are still more, like Jade Empire 2, Elder Scrolls 5 etc Also i doubt that these games will look far worst than those pics, most are for real, others could see minor downgrades in AA and textures but will basically look stunning, which is really amazing to have some many stunning looking rpg's for one main platform, now i can get PS3 only after FF13 and Wii after a new zelda (or if Zelda Wii is upgraded graphically)

So what are the below ??? First time i read of them. I suppose all other japaneze rpg's like Cry On, Trusty Bell and Infinite Undiscovery will definatly make it to UK/US, now i can't say the same for the below JRPG's with the strange names

Magna Carta 2
Spectral Diario
Spectral Force 3: Innocent Rage
The Embrace of Time: Chapter 1 Resurrectio Ocolus
X Quest

[QUOTE="hd28guy_basic"]

[QUOTE="Xdrone"]MODS: Please lock this thread! It's become a trap for my fellow lemmings... they wander in here, post, and are instantly self-owned. It's too late for tools like HD and ranik but leave the rest of the legitimate Xbox fans with a little dignity, Ok?TE_Lawrence

when the cows can show us 1080p in game, then maybe they can "own" someone...

in the meantime... just more hype...

cows..

DeanoC already stated that the PS3 can do HS in 1080p but that they prefer to only do it it 720p and use the extra processing power on effects instead and there's no on in England with a 1080p TV, it just isn't out in Europe yet.

BTW, the game being made for 720p only means that the textures are designed to look good in that resolution, not that the game can't be run in 1080p( 1080p just wont gain the gamer more detailed textures).

You want some facts on PS3 ?

1. The xbox 360 hardware can be utilized 80-90% due to the unfied architecture, while PS3's only 60% average, now games look identical, given time xbox 360 can only go FAR ahead by optimization and when DX10 favoured games come into play, PS3 will be obsolete as your geforce 7800 GTX video card

2. In E3 Lair was NOT CONTROLABLE, I WONDER WHY !!!!!!!!

3. MGS4 was no shown real time controlled,  I DAMN WONDER WHY !!!!!!!!

4. Heavenly sword most impressive stuff was pre-rendered, and I WONDER WHY THERE was a need to show those trees and temples pre-rendered while the UBER powerfull PS3 could well render them in real time, and the engine and models were ready as we see, OR MAYBE CAN'T EVEN come close and was there to impress those that found the arena fight not anyhting special as far as graphics go

5. Free on line will NEVER work right, and you will ALWAYS have to still pay for games to play online, but with PS3 it will be FAR less streamlined and easy. Lag is due to exist in HEAVY doses as well

6. Assasins was running on pc !!!!!!!! THAT was laugable, i bet they could not even get it to start on PS3

7. HS developer in a forum suggested that not only their "environments" video was pre-rendered, but Assaisins was not entirely real as well, that i think means in simple words, NOTHING on PS3 looks like ANYTHING you show on E3, bar Heavenly Sword arena fight

But initially the PS3 was thought to be so powerfull, that could handle ANYTHING in 1080p res. It was ADVERITSED as such and that all games will be 1080p and crap.

As it seems PS3 stuggles even with Heavenly Sword's effects. Then we all know by now that this "environments" video shown from HS in E3 was a pre-rendered one and ONLY the arena fight was real time (closed environment, few characters, no grass/trees= nothing trully special or anything a current pc could not do and even surpass)

Could not resist. Sorry.

mgools

For what it offers (the big version) 600$ is ok i guess. The small version makes no sense at all since you can't play blue-ray disks (that is why UK does not get it)

But still i would NEVER give that much for gaming, i abandoned paying for new pc parts some time ago, and i go for the best cheapest console, then wait to get others at my laisure, after 1-2 years with all AAA games at discount prices and console at less price, maybe when PS3 BIG VERSION goes 400$ (then i suppose xbox 360 will costs 300$ for premium), theni suppose i will definatly get one

Hope the 80$ per game rumor is totally untrue though, since if it is any truth to that, PS3 is a MUST not buy, 80$ per game is a STEAL

And comparing to pc games prices, it a crime against humanity

the 360 does not, nor ever will support directx 10. it would NOT be able to run crysis better than the ps3 could. Nothing would be able to run it as good as the PC version either, but to say the 360 can run it better is just plain foolish.marc2000

Last time i checked unified shaders and ram, and included EDRAM were DX10 card features, and are NOT used in current video cards, so xbox 360 could support much better a DX10 game than PS3, or VASTLY better most probably.

OMG i love how cows for the life of them couldnt tell in game footage from a cgi teaser trailer! its so FUNNY!!!  but whats even better is that sony is LIEING about  it  to the cows FACES , like when they confirmed killzone realtime, THAT WAS CLASSIC !!!     and btw their were like 20 dragons on screen SELF OWNED343Guilty-spark

Killzone was DEFINATLY a video, confirmed and not even made by the same team that makes the game :)

But Lair they said was real-time, though if i do not see some actual in game pics i will never believe they will have an uber detailed world and that number of dragons on screen, except if the game is like panzer dragoon orta and not free roaming, which would make me not get it, i want a free to go anywhere action game or an rpg, anything else is no buy

[QUOTE="the_bi99man"] [QUOTE="erikers"][QUOTE="reelbigfish"] [QUOTE="blazealot420"]i doubt it but it would be cool especially with blu ray crucifine

I am so confused about Blu-Ray.... What exactly does it do??

He's saying that it would be cool to put a game that doesn't exceed the size limit of a DVD disc on a Blu Ray disc that does exceed that size for no reason.

The Fanboys are vicious tonight. Anyway. To answer your question. Blu-Ray is a new disc format developed by Sony working with several other companies (including Apple, HP, and bunch of other electronics companies, I can't remember them all). All the games for the PS3 (and movies in the future--depending on the outcome of the Blu-Ray/HD-DVD format war) will be published in this format. The max capacity of a Dual Layer DVD-9 that the 360 uses is 9 Gigabytes. The max capacity of a Dual Layer Blu-Ray is 52 Gigabytes (25.somethingGB single layer). The Elder Scrolls games have always been very big. Lots of stuff, good graphics, and massive worlds. The entire game could be bigger and better on a Blu-Ray disc, rather than a DVD-9. And the Blu-Ray also contributes to the resolution. It takes a good chunk of space to develope a game in 1080p.

the xbox version of elder scrolls 3: morrowind was only ~700mb...they're big?  and it fits on a DVD9.  the only advantage of PS3 having the title is that it might be possible to have both dynamic soft shadows on every object in the game and have those objects interactive.  Neither the PC nor the 360 version will have dynamic soft shadows on every object.  they'll only have interactive objects and the shadows on characters and trees/shrubbery.

As a matter of fact both pc and xbox 360 could do soft shadows on all objects. But they run on a HUGE problem, the fact that you can carry hundreds of items, then throw them down. Just imagine that you can stack up to 1000 objects in a room, now the 10 objects soft detailed soft shadows became 1000 such shadows, casted from and on the objects. I suppose since shadows are really demanding, that would kill a 100 CPU render farm, so in order to keep objets carriable and interactive they choose to not put those shadows in, seems logical enough, bar the fact that they COULD use some tricks to disable shadows if objects became really many

Anyway, if they do not use any tricks, no shadows on ANY platform no matter how fast.
