Might be a long shot but as you would probably have to be at least 30 years old to remember Infantry Online.
It was an addictive 2D MMO that was fixed like a birds eye view, was playable on the PC.
Think it was Sony who ran the game can't remember, was so long ago.
They had Capture the Flag type zones, aliens vs bugs etc... it was like crack.
Used to go into school red eyed everyday!
