Are you talking about the person or the band?Of course Varg played on some of the most notorious black metal bands,but BURZUM the band is not black metal,come on ffs,stop reading what you see on wikipedia and metal archives.Its NSBM and ambiental metal.I have been listening to Black metal for 6 or 7 years for now,and i know the difference,black metal is one thing,nsbm is another thing.

There are some band,like Amesoeurs,black metal genre,or close to black metal ,that sings about Modernity, Urban Life and so on.
