Yeah, I think they're awesome. I was thinking they were gonna be overpowered or broken and require some tweaking, but there actually pretty balanced as is. They add a lot more strategy to the game. The cloaking/radar jamming lets you sit near the enemy base and effectively disable the other teams radar.

My understanding of the way things will work is that they'll have some kinda program where if you already own the UMD you"ll be able to acquire a digital copy for free. The way things are going, slightly more and more PSP games are being released download only and new games are being added all the time. So they should have an improved selection by the time the GO hits shelves.

As for whether the GO will fail or not is yet to be seen. This is a huge gamble, what with it being like the 4th iteration of the same system and featuring download only media. Rest assured that the industry will be closely monitoring the GO as the future of gaming seems to be gravitating toward download only media. The success of the Xbox Live Arcade and PSN are clear evidence of this. The GO will show everybody if the industry is ready to make that jump.

I've had gamefly for almost a year now and I'm pretty happy with the service. I've got the two game plan and I've done the math on how much money I've saved renting versus buying every game I've played and it's like 300 bucks. Never takes them more than 5 days to ship me a new game. I do live in the same state as one of the shipping centers though. I only had to send one game back that didn't work, but it was an old PS2 game. DS games have trouble registering in the DS slot sometimes. PSP games for the most part can't really get jacked up. Never had a problem with 360 games cuz I always play them off my hardrive.

Only downside is it is hard to get the exact game you want, popular ones and new releases especially. I've tried to circumvent this by using the rentals to supplement my game playing. I'll buy a game that I know is of high quality and will provide me with many hours of gameplay and play this during the "downtime" of waiting for a new game in the mail. I mostly rent games that peak my interest but not enough for me to actually shell out the cash for.

What happened? Nothing happened. The story evolved so the gameplay did as well. Don't get me wrong. RE 0-2 and Code:Veronica were awesome survival horror games. I'll admit that sometimes I long for the old days of killing zombies, conserving ammo, and fully exploring some creepy locale, but if the RE series had continued down the same path it would have gotten stale. I felt Capcom took the games in the right direction. It wouldn't have made much sense if they kept making the same type of games over and over since they chose to use the same characters. The characters now know what to expect from Umbrella and would obviously try to be better prepared in their future scenarios involving Umbrella. The characters' first experience with Umbrella's creations makes sense to be a survival horror scenario. After having already dealt with zombies, hunters, lickers, and tyrants, their next encounter makes sense to be more action-orientated.

Now on whether or not Capcom went about this the right way is another question. The first time I played RE 4 I was like "Wow! They really changed a lot of stuff. This is nothing like the old ones." I however loved the changes. I do see how some people would be put off by this. As for RE 5, I felt they completely ditched the creepiness that RE 4 slightly held on to and just went full blown action game. Maybe not as good as RE 4 but a hellavu lotta fun in co-op! As for the story getting all weird I totally agree with you there, but as you can tell the new games are less story driven and concentrate more on blowing **** up.

First off, was it the real RROD? The one with 3 segments. If it was and it works now you might not be screwed. Happened to my sister's 360 when it was around 6 months old. It's the Limited Editon Halo 360. It RRODed and I left it alone for a few days accepting it as a loss. When I was talking to the Microsoft people to claim the warranty, they told me to try turning it on and it worked fine.(Felt like a total dumb*** over the phone lol.) If you really do take care of it like you say I think it should be fine, but then again you never know.

Dude I'm 24 and I've been playing pokemon since the red and blue days. There's nothing wrong with playing a such a rich and engrossing RPG. The look of Pokemon might be geared toward a younger audience but anyone whose gotten into breeding and competetive battling will tell you the gameplay certainly isn't. If anyone gives you any grief, challenge them to a battle! After you've mopped the floor with them they'll understand just how complex this game really is.

Oh yeah, gotta catch 'em all. lol!
