Ugh! I have literally been going back and forth with myself on this game. I was a day one purchase on PS4 Pro and went with the hard copy. I enjoyed every minute of the game and plat'ed it! It was a top fav game for me last gen.

My thing is...I own it already and want to play it again with all the fuss being brought to my attention...its been awhile and would be fun. Time to take it for another spin. I've got the disc...I got the PS5. I got my custom water hard loop109000k/RTX3090 gaming rig. Argh....I keep telling myself it's only $50 if you want to play 2nd playthru on PC. I now its the so called definitive version but for me I am unsure if is that much better on PC over a PS5 replay....for those that do make the plunge with both....I looking forward to hearing your thoughts.

I have been wanting to play this game again! It was a fantastic looking and fun game on the PS4 Pro. I held off playing again on the PS5 because rumor mill was buzzing about coming to PC. Can't wait to see how it turns out. With the additional features it looks like they spent more dev time on porting this one (I hope).

I will definitely be in the ultra camp. My monitor isn't as demanding as full 4k...3840x1600 @144 (LG 38" ultrawide) but my rig should chew thru it just fine. Custom hard loop on both a 3090 and 10900k. Bring on some Kratos I say!

Cancelling my preorder later today.

I'm not prepared for another unoptimized Ubisoft game.

73 fps on a RTX3090 on 1080p. Piss off!

😆😆😆😆😆Seriously?

yeah the game is horribly optimized:

I was looking forward to it, but based on this kind of optimization I'm most definitely cancelling.

check that 73 fps minimum on 1080p on a RTX3090

Ok I was gonna call BS on this. I played the game for a few hours last night. It played really well and I average around 80FPS @ 3840x1600 with every bell and whistle turned on ultra w/ ray tracing. Similar setup to the guy doing the benchmark...10900k w/ 3090, game is installed on a Samsung 970PRO NVMe drive. I went to test this. Same settings as I had before but dropped the rez down to 1080....I get the same frames/numbers that I had before......whaaaaaaat?

Hands down the Elite. Love the weighty feel of it. The integration just works out of the box with games that call for a gamepad...truly plug and play and good ergonomics for me.

@R4gn4r0k: I haven't kept up or been following really but people are STILL waiting for their preorders since launch??? That's insane. I know stuff is still hard to snag but waiting on order fulfillment...SHEESH! I got my 3090 1 to 2 weeks after launch for MSRP. It was some late nights but I followed the drops and stock alerts, joined some discussions and learned certain stores availability patterns over the week and pounced at 1AM to snag mine. Kinda a PITA to tell you the truth. Been buying GPUs since the Voodoo days and never experienced this.

@tribesjah: your situation sounds EXACTLY the same as mine. The XSX gets all the play from the family. I was able to get one on launch day and with Ultimate I'm able to enjoy some great games on PC too. I was one of the lucky ones who actually could complete a build during the 3000 series launch. 10900k / 3090 w custom hard loop for CPU/GPU (originally was looking for an 80 but snagged what I could). Needed to replace my aging 6700k/GTX1080 launch build.

I was finally able to get my hands on a PS5 in the beginning of March but after beating Miles...its a dust collector. I don't mind tho as I know that will be changing before the end of the year.

@djoffer123: Nothing wrong with that! Especially in this environment these days. 2070s is by no means a bad card and still has plenty of grunt left in it. I typically skip GPU gens and upgrade every other myself. A new gen release doesn't magically render the previous obsolete...game on my friend.

@djoffer123: I guess you should caveat that by calling out the resolution you game at and what 3000 series card...assuming a 3080. At 1080p...it may not really be worth it for you and if you don't really care about ray tracing (which is understandable) but at 1440 and above w/ or w/o RTX.... it's a pretty large leap from a 2070s.
