i was suffering crashes every 10 mintues, mostly in 1st person view, in buildings, sometimes outside, alot when speaking to someone: entering or leaving speak to mode or during when a question has been asked. not many times in vats, and once in 3rd person in a bulding mine is fixed, tried everything, changing fallout.ini, setting multi-monitor to single montior in Nvidia control panel. what worked for me was(dunno which 1 did it: before i started i had restored the default ini's back to how they were originaly i underclocked my BFG 285gtx OC to stock 285 clocks on the startup goto option and clicked defualt so it configured graphics settings for me set it for windowed mode result- not 1 crash in 3 hours play PC setup. Vista 32bit SP2 mobo:asus P5q CPU:Q9450 GFX: BFG 285gtx OC(bfg overclock), and the latest drivers, although this has been going on for years so its probs broken with any driver you use fallout 3 patched to version 1.7 with DLC
