A real treat, that one. RE2 was something that I never got to complete until my days in high-school, once I'd finally gotten around to creating a PSN account and made it one of my initial purchases. Good memories of me and my sister glued to my PSP (yes, PSP) as I played away into the night with something that I never quite truly appreciated until I'd nabbed it at an older age.

I don't remember dying so much though, Zorine. Yeeaaaah...lol.

@l777l @miranda246 Lol, now you're just fuckin' with me. Although I don't agree with your implication towards the usage of the word "voice," (and can't put my finger on why it's important whether or not women WOULD use the word to that meaning more than men, though I've got a few thoughts) I'll elaborate on the example.

The food is "it." It's the product, the idea, the meaning behind an evaluation. Would you willingly seek out someone who throws that "it" into shadow because of a petty word? Because of a distaste towards a reflection? Or would you rather explore the angles, seek out the truths, or just listen and observe to someone who respects your own opinions?

I enjoy talking to you (if you can call this "talking," lol). And I won't bullshit you, I'm getting tired of explaining myself. If you want to talk about something else entirely, or carry this somewhere else, I'm down completely. (Plus I'm watching an awesome show, and trying to put music into Stepmania 5. ...which isn't working. I'm a dude by the by. I use the word "voice" all the time.)

@l777l @miranda246 No. I'm only talking about us, those that enjoy video-games. And no, lol. The way we approach certain things change all the time, as do the way subjects are presented.

Nothing is in stone for any of us. With the right words, evidence, or reason, anyones opinion can be influenced, if not outright pulled in a different direction.

My uncle told me once that if nothing else, we as people should try to be the best we could be not only for ourselves, but for those around us as well. Take it with a grain of salt, but that applies perfectly here. What good does a meaningless comment do but continue to stir a pot that no-one really wants to eat from?

Would I rather listen to someone who spits in my food, or someone who tries to make it look or taste a little bit better?

Excellence should always be a goal.

It's impossible to grab it most of the time, and you'll have a hard time getting close enough to begin with.

But all of this revolves around the example. The power of a voice that doesn't back down because of ignorance or blind reason. We all have it, it's just easier at the end of the day to leave it buried.

@ignis_sulphur @miranda246 And you won't ever have to belong. The basis of our discussion through these comments posted, words liked and video watched has been a disagreement towards how we respond to something we might not agree with ourselves. I didn't highlight any negative notion towards lifeless, meaningless people who play video-games to be noticed, accepted, or liked. We all share your sentiment, I play video-games because I like to as well. I don't play them all the time, and my life doesn't revolve around them. But how some of us behave towards a complaint or a criticism that's blown out of proportion questions that sometimes, is all.

An excellent video, Cam.

Being a US Marine myself, I can say that claims of virtual training regarding a boy and his PS3 controller are preposterous, and clearly aim to sink our hobby further into the mud pit that it's been known to sit in.

Your findings of specific research explain everything well, like all activities in life that require physical readiness and execution, nothing replaces the training that knowledge and repetition can give, placing an individual in an environment where they are forced to assess, make a choice and respond is a far cry from simply staring at a television screen on a couch or a chair.

Half the battle involves a heavier psychological element anyway, something which you smartly pointed out, and something that I don't think needs to be addressed as well.

Keep up the good work, man.

@l777l @miranda246 The idea of a collective doesn't come from an idea of representation. We're all individuals, and as such carry our own opinions. The collective notion comes the support of everyone behind what should be a building of intelligence, of valid reason for argument and disagreement.

And I realize that not everyone is the same. I realize that this isn't a perfect world, and that games won't change their own core objectives because of the cries of a people. That's what makes them great. They challenge and attempt to change our views, they try to distort what would otherwise be normal or acceptable to most of us.

And whether you identify or go by the calling of "gamer" doesn't really matter. At the end of the day those that don't understand what we like as much as our peers will give us those names, and throw down those titles. What matters is that we carry and hold whatever we are with high esteem.

What is one of the most important things that should be wanted of our community?

Structure? A sense of belonging, the yearning to continue to inspire and influence those who will one day create titles that'll wow us and others in the future?

The gaming community is vastly inappropriate. That isn't news to anybody.

But the most important thing that should be wanted from ALL of us who love consoles and graphics and virtually jumping from planes is our COLLECTIVE voice.

Where did the saying, "If one of you fucks this up, it'll look bad on all of us?" come from? I have no idea myself, but unattractive comments and snickers that I've read endlessly from a place that should be a celebration of our medium is fuckin' atrocious.

Like I said before, obscenities aren't anything new or revolutionary, and honestly most people are willing to simply roll their eyes and go to another page when stupidity is rampant after an article is posted or a video is seen. I got that. But this mile-stone of a game, in a franchise that has been important for all of us because of its uncompromising use of vulgarity, violence and unusual satires of the strangest happenings or characters that exist in our own realities was the last runner in the race. The outrageous outcries for retribution or retaliation from something as unnecessarily infuriating as a score, or a VALID reason for someone to dislike ASPECTS of a game is pretty disappointing.

We need to strive to mold the general community of our hobby into something more constructive, even if that means only starting at the virtual level. How hard is it to pose an intelligent argument or reason towards disagreement, instead of the base and frequently ignored "**** you," "Screw this reviewer" or "You guys goddamn suck. Can bet I'm never coming back here again!"

Take the time and try to make yourself constructive, NOT destructive, sword wielders and level slayers of the world. That includes all of us though. Nobody's perfect, and no-one should let someone handle their problems or struggles alone.

Set the example. Be the voice that broadens others opinions.

Everyone loved Pokemon in its early years.

For a series that has seen plenty of creative changes, I've noticed that words of boredom have surrounded some of the franchises early fans with complaints of a "same old, same old" formula that has been recycled not because of its ease of implementation (although that helps in anything that's supposed to go on a long ride), but because of its success.

It's no secret that Pokemons "Gotta Catch 'em all!" way of doing things is addictive. Even after years of doing the same old stuff I still find myself yearning to pick up Blue or Yellow or Gold or Sapphire again and grinning when I come across a Pocket Monster that maybe I hadn't seen before.

Jabbering aside, making the "same old, same old" formula third dimensional is wonderful. It's smart. And it was bound to happen. Technology has gifted the geniuses of our most beloved regions to craft something that could possibly breathe new life into the minds of those fans who grew tired with the series after so many tries, or maybe those who just stopped buying the games for the exact same reason.

This article excites me. Randolph Ramsay, thank you for sharing something here that I would have had no idea about until the inevitable whispers of my buds (which usually take a while, lol).

But what makes me happy the most, is that I know I'm not the only one, regardless of whether I buy the game or not.

And yes, I can safely bet that PLENTY of folks would love to steer shows the way they might possibly want them to play out. How many times have you shouted, "No! Don't go that way?" to a character or avatar that you grew to care about? Having Master Chief choose to lose his shattered leg and beat something senseless with it (at the swipe or flick of your hand no doubt. Kinect, I'm lookin' at you!) is just an example of choices that people could make with original content. This idea sounds phenomenal.

First of all I'll extend my arms and clap for Nintendo.

Wii Sports has been good to them financially, ever since its original launch with the release of the Wii, and it's not surprising to see them trying to benefit with this new presentation in their sports universe.

I've never been a fan of Wii Sports myself, the problem mainly being that with Wii Sports, your money is thrown towards a product that has no substance in the midst of substance. If that confuses you, don't worry. And I won't ignore that Wii Sports is a great idea in the bubbles of interactivity. Not only with a console that profited from the use of its revolutionary (and for the most part successful) motion control scheme, but with its ease of use and simple matchmaking for players in a game that bred multiplayer purpose.

But the title was never sizable enough for me to become committed to the idea. And when you put something out on the market that's supposed to live through subsequent options or renditions, COMMITTED is what your players need to be. The obvious addition to content, in mechanic, in sound, in inspired presentation all make believers of a product come back for more, or at the very least sniffing for a sample. I get that "Club" introduces new games?, and I also get that Wii Sports has to look and feel like Wii Sports, but it's not enough for me.

There are too many other appealing waves in the industry, coming with the new era or having already passed me by, for me to drop money into something that I don't think will differ substantially from the original.

That's the core of the fruit right there, I get that this is an HD remake, shut up right? I get that Nintendo is just trying to milk a game that served them well, with a new and "download now, buy later" format. But that's F2P 101 right there, brother. And while that isn't what "Club"s about, it doesn't excite me at all.

Of course, every word in this comment comes from a dude that didn't care for it in the first place. (...shit was fun though, I'll stand by that)

But XBOX One TV shows? ...not a bad concept.
