@RedWave247: I relate to Vikings because my own ancestry is Norman. They were Vikings who settled in France in 901 AD. My family line goes back to the Earls of Sefton (used to be a village, with urban and industrial expansion it's now a part of Liverpool City though). History of that whole period fascinates me. On the other side of my ancestry is Anglo Saxon with the family name (I know definitely I'm related to the Norman Earl, the Anglo Saxon link is by name alone, the name can be traced but the Anglo Saxons were a conquered people so less about their ancestry is written) being traced to the East Saxons, more specifically the Kingdom, later Earldom, of East Anglia. That's why it interests me. I delve into other cultures should I glean some information that interests me and encourages me to seek more, but to tell the truth I haven't finished with the Dark Age period yet.
@realg26: Idiot, did I say that? I want character customisation whether it's black or white. I prefer to make an avatar that looks as much like me as possible. White isn't one shade you simpleminded imbecile, there are different shades of white skin. Quit trying to find a problem where there isn't one. You 'I'm offended I have delicate feelings' sort of people p I s s about 75% of the worlds population off.
@RedWave247: in movies, shows and books I'm not playing as the protagonist am I. The books and shows Im interested tend to be of a historical nature (Vikings The Last Kingdom, which is a series of books) about the history of my country. I can identify with that, my family surname on mother's side is in the Anglo Saxon Chronicle written in the 9th century AD. My father's side were Normans, French settled Vikings. Identify with that because it relates to me.
@Leefx: I thought it was funny, and a pretty true assessment in the main. Obviously not all pc users are strange men who never got a girlfriend, still live with their mum, wear thick lensed glasses, have a belly that protrudes from their far too small star wars t-shirt who live on microwave meals and take away and don't get out much. But I have seen many many people fitting that description perusing the PC games section in game shops.
@jimmydonegood: some people are annoyed at a new console coming out two years into the lifespan of the last. A console should last at least 5 years before some money grabbing twat devises a way to grab some more money by bringing out a new console.
No character customisation then? To be fair, I like to have my character look as much like me as possible, To identify with it. I can't this, And that's not racial before anyone jumps on this comment. I don't choose black fighters in boxing or mma and I doubt the same can be said the other way round. Besides, the mafia were and are Sicilians. Mafia is an Italian word, anything else is just organised crime.
"Your associates can betray you if they don’t think you’re treating them well" Sounds a lot like GTA 4 and that annoyed me, having rep go down because I didn't go bowling with someone or something. It was a nuisance to the rest of the game.
