Okay, I think I actually figured it out. On the LOCAL LEADERBOARDS, it doesn't matter which you choose - even your story mode scores, times, and medal counts are kept and ranked against Dad. But, for the online leaderboards, each specific sub-mode section on the leaderboards (score, time, medal) only accounts for your progress on each respective choice of score, time, and medal. It's really a misleading, silly system. There shouldn't be a choice at the beginning considering each plays EXACTLY the same. Thanks anyways!
Once you turn ranked mode on, there are three options: Score Attack Time Attack Medal Attack I can't seem to notice ANY difference among these options. I played on the Time Attack option on Stage 3, and my score and medal count were still put on the leaderboards along with my time. I've NEVER played, for example. Medal Mode on Stage 5, but I'm still ranked for Medal Mode on Stage 5. Why? Someone please explain this to me, I'm very frustrated.
