That's a terrible attitude to have about history.

My attitude is this: "I have no first or even second hand information whatsoever regarding the events. Everything I hear or read, even in history books, is mildly reliable at best. I know the facts (or the closest thing I will ever get to them in my life time) and nothing more. I don't see why I should form opinons on it. Especially since it won't change anything that did happen, or will happen."

What I wrote came off more... what's the word I'm looking for? I suppose "ignorant" will do. It came off more ignorant than I would have liked it to. I simply mean that I don't see the use in deciding whether or not America should have done something years before I even existed.

could he possibly have been suffering from a form of depression and felt that he deserved time in hell... however unlikely it may be, it could be a possibility. commited murder twice, and before he commited suicide; he had time to think. in this time he could've come to the conclusion that there was no point to his life and he would go to hell anyway and deserved to. hence commited suicide?

Okay, I'm sorry I misunderstood everything. Apparently it is both normal and perfectly sane to want to murder your family and be tortured indefinitely in a place where time has no meaning until the time someone determines you have suffered enough and should be destroyed.
