So we should be pissed off at Microsoft because developers of independent studios want to produce more FPS/TPS games? At the end of the day those companies wanted to produce those games because of the creative direction, they aren't making these big budget games strictly for profit, they put their heart into creating those games to pleas gamers and to get their stories across. I can afford the $50 charge for online and the standardization of the live service. Are there better options out there that are free? In some aspects PSN is far superior to Live, but in the overall performance I can justify paying for XBL for the total services and the added services every 6 months. Plus it seems that PSN is playing catchup after every XBL update, which throws the whole "originality" out the window. Games are popular because the casual crowd envelops them, at the moment it's music and FPS games, in the past it was sports games and slowly those are giving way. Will there always be hardcore games that appeal to the long time gamer? Of course, but the most popular games will be supported/loved by both parties. That is how you grow gaming, create games where the casuals can coexist with the hardcore.
1) price, get it to £200 and that will kickstart its momentum
2) lack of signature title, they dont have one, at the moment. They just have a bunch of great games, they need something they can hype to the high heavens like gears 2 or halo. They should try to make KZ2 that game
3) marketing: sony needs to market it towards families, not just hardcore gamers. They need to show it as a family media system, then it will sell at christmas.

That's what majority of games play. Good to Excellent games. Don't tell me you only play games that are above 9, because you'll be limited. Lets get real here. PS3 is only been out for 2 years or so and the PS2 is on it's what? 7th? Of course PS2 will have more games. Plz...

How about posting what you think it will be? Its a perfectly valid reason to eliminate the top an the bottom scores. People would spam those an skew the hype. If you think it's one of the extremes then post what you think it's going to get. AA But its going to be the best AA that I have played in a long time :)

How do you like living in your monarchy :P? All jokes aside, I agree that since we are on Gamespot we should use their scores on the site but overall to make the best decision you have to look at all of the reviews.
