Personally speaking I still felt like playing one more mission before calling it a night, and that feeling continued as I played along. The story is brilliantly done and the emotions and characters are built up very nicely. I play on a console and play it for the experience not for the frame rate or the technical specs. The game froze once since I have started playing but that was not a very big problem.
The rating system nowadays is a shamble. Most Indie titles get an easy 9 or 10. There should be another rating system for Indie and AAA titles. High scores for games like Fifa who add features every year is a joke. Games like The Witcher, GTA 5 deserve and are worth high scores not just because of the content they provide but technical boundaries they have pushed.
Having just finished Dues Ex, Uncharted 4 and the hopeless No Mans Sky I found Mafia 3 to be worth the money i paid and a whole lot of fun. 8/10
@wkadalie: I strongly agree. There are many ''fans'' out there who cannot take even a pinch of criticism. Ive bought fallout 4 and look to spend a lot of time on it, but it doesn't mean that we cant talk about something which is bad. Games like MGS and TW3 have raised the bench mark in terms of modern gaming. There are games like Pillars of eternity which have dense content but arnt AAA titles. Nothing wrong with expecting more or at least expecting Fallout 4 to be at par with the best.
@giustoe: People are well within their rights to complain about bad graphics. Everyone knew that graphics arnt their strong suit but does it justify them? No. The Witcher 3 has sent the benchmark for amazing graphics and great gameplay. Other games will take time to catch up. Ive not played Fallout 4 enough to suggest its amazing but certainly not something you see and say wow on the outset. Im sure Fallout 4 will offer many hours of fun and its too early to rate a game like this. Hopefully the story and immersive world can make up for some not so amazing graphics.
@88mikelll: We can agree to disagree. Ive spent well over a 100 hours playing the Witcher 3. It has an amazing story. Characters with a dense background. Meaningful dialogue. Groundbreaking features such as no loading screens and amazing graphics. The controls are excellent. Vast immersive world. There is absolutely nothing to complain about.
With the little time ive played fallout 4. Its very good but nothing revolutionary.
