@Spybreak The Doom 3 PDAs and Bioshock's audio logs and rpg elements can be traced back to System Shock 2, which came out in 1999.
About time some things were clarified. Looking better, but I'm still not convinced it will live up to the earlier titles.
DLC is just a fancy way of saying that they want charge us 60 bucks for a game that lacks content, is incomplete, and ultimately ends up costing 80. If they want DLC to be respected, they should start by lowering the cost of the basic game.
