@varunvikram1 I play BF3, great multiplayer, I love it, but I can understand why people would take COD over any SP game that came out. I've played those games, played them once and never touched them again. Didn't even finish the playstation MGS. FFVII was way too long, I never even got passed the first disk. Story is cool, but that's it? Having a good story isn't enough in today's gaming market. Players want more, because once they play through or like me, just get bored half way through the SP, what's next to do with this game? After a couple days it's useless now. Players want something that will always draw them back to play. That my friend is why MP reigns supreme over SP. You Gamespot Elitist can take a hike. It's 2012 SP and MP should be going hand in hand now and if they had any sense they would spend way more time of the MP than the SP. If I'm going to be playing a SP game, it better be a game where I can make my own character instead of playing some game company's character, but even then you just can't beat a good MP game.
I wanted multiplayer because straight single player games are just plain boring. It's great that they listened. Nobody plays single player games anymore, people would rather interact over the net, than staying in their basement playing by themselves. You few on Gamespot don't speak for everybody.
The main problem is gamers aren't a united front! LOL. Now EA is going to do subscription base gaming with Battlefield and there's not a damn thing we can do about it because the majority of gamers will buy it anyway. This new generation that just loves to throw it's money away to these companies no matter what they do. They can crap on a compact disk and say it's Mass Effect 4 or the New Ipad 6 and people go bananas! "Here take my money, I can't wait!" God, how I wish I could slap most of you...
