Caping takes all different forms. Some of it means just sitting and waiting in a good hiding spot and waiting for someone to come by then you pcik them off. In Warhawk you can also sit in a turret or gun and take shots from a safe distance away. There are advantages and plenty of disadvantages though. You get two Warhawks on you while in a gun and your toast. A sneaky SOB in a rocket launcher and you're also meat. Camping can be fun but it's not a sure way of getting kills. It's just a part of the game. Designers wouldn't give you sniper riffles if that wasn't the case.
Speaking of sniper riffles.. how the heck do you enable those things? I pick them up all the time but they never show up in my invetory.

press the down & right arrows simultaneously, zoom in by pressing the R3 button, twice increases the zoom,

Holy crap! You're just like those cry babies in Socom... "don't use the IW-80, don't use grenades, oh oh... you rocket launcher user!!!" Learn how to play all aspects of the game and then deal with campers the right way.
..Cos it's shiny and looks cool compared to the miniature soviet factory that is the xbox, mine lies flat on the shelf beneath the TV where the DVD layer used to live and looks like it really belongs thereabove the satellite box.
And that's before i go into the games available and on the way, Sony always starts slowly game-wise, remember the PS2 launch year? But they quickly pick up the pace, soon there will be a pile of great games available ,and the prices will begin to fall just like before.
Warhawk is the best value game for what it delivers in years, and it is setting the pace for future distributors to match.
